Retail Pricing Manager

Job purpose
Lead pricing strategy for all EMIA retail entities (on line and off line strategy).
Define & Implement the (sellout) pricing strategy with the support of local experts enhancing price positioning in line with Bridgestone & retail Go-To-Market plans, by country, channel, brand and product: all tyre categories (passenger, truck, moto cycle, agriculture) & vehicle services.
Coordinate and lead the pricing strategy related to services (tyres and non tyres).
Ensure Product & Service Mix supporting the profit generation and net sales growth with both strategic and tactical plans in collaboration with local entities for both on line and offline channel.
Act as Internal pricing Guru & Consultant for headquarter retail team & local retail pricing managers.
Monitor market trends and develop pricing intelligence keeping under control the value chain.
Main responsibilities
- Run online & offline price market analysis (incl. competition) using specific tools in order to define pricing strategies for the different countries/entities for both on line and off line channel and for all the brands in retail portfolio.
- Work closely with local pricing managers to understand the market trends and needs
- Develop Price positioning studies and monitor market trends. Structure pricing intelligence analysis /cockpit using existing as well as new tools and AI.
- Lead the configuration and continuous improvement of new Global pricing solution, in collaboration with US.
- For the on line channel, experiment with different pricing strategies and run continuous analysis of online sales & conversion funnel in order to drive continuous improvement in collaboration with the BMS/product team
- Drive and monitor price variance contribution on actual net sales performance.
- Set tactical action in order to keep price positioning in line with target and to steer product & service mix.
- Advice on specific marketing promotions, product strategies and supplier negotiations.
- Ensure focus on premium mix strategy , aligned with our Go-to-Market plans.
- In-depth Analysis of product ranges by sizes, to anticipate trends and to support proper sales mix.. Ensure as well the constant update of product master data /list price.
- Coordinate with other team members in HQ to drive value based pricing approach in all the sales channels.(offers for fleets, e-oems, mobile services,…)
- Keep high focus and be very close to market reality visiting customers and attending to customer meeting.
- Coach and train local pricing managers; develop internal competences and knowledge on different levels. Facilitate price understanding to other functions, as well as value for Dealer and end customers (Value Based Pricing).
- Promote and reinforce a culture of innovation, creativity and continuous improvement.
Required capabilities
- University Degree with the major in Economics / Marketing / Management Engineering / Data science / Mathematics / Other relevant unless covered by strong experience & expertise.
- Advanced analytical skills - Precise and rigorous with high attention to details.
- Ability to work with big amount of data.
- Able to support strategic view creation and to translate in concrete action planning, leading pricing execution.
- Proactive, with full ownership, able to deal properly with senior management locally and at EMIA level.
- Effective Presentation skills to present at different level of Management.
- Innovative, project management skills in order to develop the role in the new digital era.
- Good market dynamics knowledge.
- People management, Teamwork and Organizational skills.
- IT literacy + level:
- Office, in particular Powerpoint + Excel: advanced level
- Capability to handle different DB, System & Software
- Digital competencies: good level
- Languages + level
- English: fluent
- Any other EU language is a plus
Experience
- The ideal candidate has 7-10 years’ experience minimum, preferably in the same industry of tyre & vehicle maintenance e-commerce. This is a very big advantage for a candidate. This can be out weighted by a strong overall price management expertise and experience.
- Strong analytical skills together with ability to think strategically. Effective interaction and communication. Good potential for future roles within the Group.
- Experience in structured or multinational organization and matrix environment.
