EMIA Logistics and Systems Project Manager:
- Logistics is a fundamental area for the success of Bridgestone. It represents an important share of the company total cost as well as being a very sensitive area for our Customers.
- We constantly challenge our network and operations, defining the best configuration that will enable us to deliver the required service at an optimal cost.
- The EMIA Logistics and Systems Project Manager serves operations as a central point of contact for operational improvements. He/she coordinates business and IT users in achieving flawless systems upgrades and IT integrations within the logistics systems and wider ERP environment. He/she will be in charge for a wide portfolio of projects that’ll include productivity improvements, investments, IT integrations etc. He/She effectively works in a complex matrix organization, influencing and driving initiatives within EMIA.

Job purpose
The EMIA Logistics and Systems Project Manager constantly measures the network and overall logistics operations performance. Driving improvements to the way we serve our Customers is a role mission and this must be achieved through costs reduction while keeping the service in line with Sales requirements and the overall company strategy.
What you’ll do at Bridgestone
- Leading the IT agenda of Logistics operations in the following areas:
- Requirements for future IT developments
- Interfaces between Logistics and IT
- Day to day IT Support needs of the logistics community for internally and externally developed applications including coordination and appropriate escalation of incidents
- Analyzing the current Operations across the markets in EMIA and proposing changes in distribution, handling, and warehouse management process to increase productivity, storage density, eliminate waste flows.
- Identifying the need for investments and leading the business cases end-to-end (from preparation to approval and execution).
- Developing CIP (Continuous Improvement Process) programs aimed at operations productivity measurement and improvement.
- Driving the EMIA Logistics in achieving the defined LSCM (Logistics and Supply Chain Management) functional targets.
- Leading Operations related Central projects end-to-end
- Supporting and coordinating tenders related to logistics
You’ll make a good fit if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher professional qualification in Supply Chain, Management, Engineering or related quantitative discipline
- 4-5 years in Supply Chain and experience in management of mid/large-size projects with cross-border implementation
- Good knowledge of SAP and advanced knowledge of Ms Excel;
- Strong values in line with Bridgestone’s behavioral expectations (Agility, Courage, Ownership);
- Hands-on attitude with high level of accuracy and strong analytical skills;
- English fluency and the ability to communicate at different levels of the organization
- Ability to manage and influence in a matrix organization

- Logistics ratio (cost vs net sales)
