POSITION DESCRIPTION

Job Purpose:

 

The LSCM EMEA Business Controlling Trainee is a part of cross regional business controlling team acting as a Business Partner to the Logistics, Supply Chain & Customer Services Management (LSCM) Department. In this role, the trainee reports to HQ LSCM Business Controller and provides support with LSCM EU Operational KPIs and month-end closure activities with high leverage on digitalization, standardization and simplification. 

 

Main Activities:

 

LSCM Performance Cockpit

 

  • Supports and optimizes the monthly reporting of European Performance Management Cockpit. Supports the HQ Business Controller in developing the visual dashboards in Power BI to give more visibility to the business counterparts.
  • Acts as a pioneer in the digitalization and automation journey of business controlling activities.

 

Finished Goods Inventory Excess Inventory and Obsolescence Provision

 

  • Analyzes the Database of EMEA FG Excess Inventory and Obsolescence Provision to give more visibility on possible trends or risks with possible visualization in Power BI tool.
  • Collaborate with LSCM Inventory Planning team on delivering the insights to drive the business actions.

 

LSCM HQ Cost Centers OPEX Controlling

 

  • Supports HQ LSCM Business Controller with monthly closing process for LSCM HQ Cost Centres, analyses costs, identify and comment deviations from forecasts/budgets. On request, provides ad hoc analysis with possible interaction with different stakeholders.
  • Provides support in budgeting and forecasting processes for HQ OPEX Cost Centres. If necessary, interacts with LSCM Department Heads and Project Leaders, enabling the LSCM HQ Business Controller to perform actual, forecast and budget reviews with senior management.

 

EMEA LSCM Business Case Process

 

  • Helps in maintaining business case template to be utilized by whole LSCM EMEA community in case of intended investments, helping the HQ controller to update the master data of the tool.
  • Drives further standardization of the process with possible implementation of visualization of main financial KPI.

 

Compliance Support

 

  • Supports in collecting approvals for the Inventory Adjustments across European Distribution Centres on a monthly basis.
  • Follows up with business counterparts in case of high adjustments to understand the reason behind.
  • Act with preventive approach to warn in case of negative trend within the month.
  • Supports to verify and validate finished goods scrapping requests on a weekly basis.

 

Requirements 

 

 

  • Student/Recent graduate in Master’s Degree in Management Engineering/Industrial Management/Business/Finance or related fields.
  • Strong values in line with Bridgestone’s behavioral expectations (= Agility, Courage and Ownership).
  • Experience in using data analysis tools. e.g. Excel, Microsoft Business Intelligence, other relevant business information software.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Planned and organized approach in completing tasks.
  • Ability to collaborate with a diverse range of people with different personalities and backgrounds, Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to translate numbers into insights, and present them to stakeholders in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Experience with big data / analytics is a plus.
