Head of EMIA compensation

Job purpose
As the BSEMIA Head of compensation the position plays a strategic role in designing and maintaining the compensation philosophy and guidelines for full EMIA The position works with Finance, business leaders and HRBPs for designing total rewards programs that are in line with our business strategy and market. We also expect from the individual to continuously monitor the market and critically review our processes to see how we can further digitalize and improve them. Being a senior member of the total rewards team, the position participates in other rewards projects.
Responsibilities
Internal Compensation Expert:
- Design and maintain BSEMIA total rewards philosophy adapt where needed to local market conditions
- Work with HRBP and management to develop compensation solutions, practices, and plans that support a strong market-based pay for performance environment
- Research and identify trends and issues that impact compensation on proactive basis toward achievement of business objectives
- Work with HRBP and management to solve business issues where compensation can be a driver
- Work with data scientist in interpreting the results of analysis on how different reward programs have an impact on employee motivation/engagement and retention. Propose changes to plan to maximize impact.
- Work with external consultants in creating business case to introduce changes to the current compensation mix
- Educate HR & Line managers on compensation topics
Market Analysis / Total Cash Analysis:
- Based on internal compensation analysis propose compensation adjustments to support internal equity & market competitiveness.
- Analyze the competitiveness of Company’s compensation policies vs. market and recommends changes.
- Job evaluation, market benchmark and prepare offers for top management
Incentive Schemes:
- Run periodic audits on the current incentive schemes to assess their effectiveness and propose improvements
- Work with Finance, HRBP and business leaders to design, review and adapt different functional incentive schemes
- Participate in the design and implementation of management incentive schemes both short term and long term
Annual Performance & Rewards Cycle:
- Manage the Annual compensation review process with the support of the rewards analysts.
- Manage preparation of communication materials to end-users, managers, etc. and support the delivery when and where necessary
- Review process and data to continuously improve compensation program design & system set-up.
General:
- Keep abreast with new trends and best practices in the field
- Apply effective communication strategies to support various total rewards programs
- Ensure that compensation practices are in compliance with current laws and regulations
- Conduct periodic process audits to recommend improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field (ideally within Human Resources, compensation, benefits and/or organizational development concentration).
- 8+ years of experience related to Compensation and Benefits, with knowledge of:
- Compensation theories, best practices and trends;
- Benefit plans design, regulatory compliance knowledge and trends;
- Has proven ability to work with senior management
- Advanced project management skills
- Expert/advanced proficiency in MS Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
- Experience with HRIS applications is a plus;
- Has experience working in a multicultural environment;
- Demonstrate analytical and well developed communications skills, both verbal and written, necessary to interact in a professional manner and to project a positive image
- Excellent knowledge of English, knowledge of Dutch and/or French is an asset.
