POSITION DESCRIPTION

JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for a   FP&A Analyst  reporting directly to the FP&A Planning Manager. This is a EMIA role, based in Bridgestone Europe HQ ( Zaventem – Belgium).

You will part of BSEMIA’s Group FP&A team that is responsible for performing budgeting, forecasting, and analysis that support major corporate decisions of the CFO, CEO, and the Management Board.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Support and drive the financial planning cycles ( Annual Budget, Quarterly Forecast and Monthly Rolling forecast exercise). 
  • Streamline and integrate financial planning processes.
  • Production of the corresponding reports to be shared with the involved parties.
  • Production of variances reports (vs. Prior Year, vs. Budget, vs. Prior Forecast) allowing the business to help visibility and information for decisions.
  • Liaising with Bridgestone Japan for what concerns management accounting and variance analyses.
  • Provide the financial overview of Bridgestone EMIA, generating insights which can be leveraged across the organization. 
  • Geographical scope : Europe, Middle East, CIS, Africa & India. 
  • Key player for interacting with Tokyo headquarter when it comes to consolidated results.
  • Turnover : ~6 Billion Euros
  • The function reports to the FP&A EMIA Manager and works closely  with various members of other functions ( Business Finance, Group Finance, LSCM, CFO, Executive Committee etc. )

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Education (type & level) :

Master degree in Finance, Accounting or Business.

 

Competencies:

  • Passion for business performance and optimization.
  • Strong influencing and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills. Can go from advanced Excel functions to insightful PowerPoint decks with ease. Has the capacity to analyze complex problems and makes decisions in a timely manner
  • Exceptional communicator. Strong presentation skills and ability to present complicated analysis in a concise and clear manner.
  • Able to act and think at a global level
  • Able to work in an environment with tight deadlines
  • Adapts to changing objectives and priorities
  • Flexible and customer oriented
  • Builds relationships between various areas of the organization, mainly local finance, central finance, Shared Service Center, the Japanese Finance organization and the functional business leaders (executives)
  • Result oriented : design/improve and implement new processes, programs and systems; focus on execution
  • Strong interest in business performance management systems

 

Professional experience :

  • 5 to 10 years’ experience in FP&A / analyst of EMEA/Global companies
  • Experience in a Controlling & Solid accounting background
  • Significant analytical skillset, including the use of BI and reporting tools
  • Strong quantitative abilities 
  • Able to solve complex problems
  • Experience in developing finance systems/driving finance system improvements
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is a significant additional asset

 

Languages : 

English (mandatory), additional languages desirable.
