POSITION DESCRIPTION

 

1. LOADING/OFF-LOADING OF TRUCKS

AND RECEIVING OF

CASINGS FROM

WINDHOEK BRANCH

 

 

 

  • Organising of off-loading of trucks:-
  • Receiving of casings from Branches on a daily basis.
  • Receive waybill from truck driver.
  • Check tyres against waybill together with Driver.
  • Signing off of waybill if all tyres were received as indicated on waybill, together with Driver.
  • Receive job cards from Driver and check against waybill.
  • Give job cards to Admin Clerk to receive on system.

 

  • Organising of loading of tyres to Branches:-
  • Receive waybill, invoices and job cards from Admin Clerk.
  • Check job ticket and invoice against waybill.
  • Check each tyre against invoice and job card with Driver before tyre is loaded unto truck.
  • Signing off of waybill after all tyres has been loaded unto truck.
  • Ensure that Driver also sign the waybill for receiving of all tyres.
  • Hand over all documentation (job ticket, invoice and waybill) to Driver.
  • Dispatch casings of Windhoek Branch on a daily basis. 

 

2.  CASINGS CAGE

 

  • Responsible for neatness of Factory cage.
  • Stacking of casings neatly and in specified order to enable finding casings easily, needed for retreading.
  • Make sure that each Branch casings are stack at their     different spaces.
  • Ensure that all gates are locked at all times.
  • Ensure to receive job cards from Factory Manager in time to prepare casings for the next day’s productions.

 

 

3.  STOCK TAKING

 

  • Responsible together with Admin Clerk for weekly stock taking of stock- and customer casings.
  • Responsible together with Admin Clerk for weekly stock taking of rubber and consumables.

 

 

4.  EXTERNAL STOCK

 

 

 

  • Receiving of rubber and bonding.
  • Ensure that stock received correspond with invoice.
  • Signing of invoice.

 

 

 

 

5. GENERAL

  • Undertake all reasonable requests and instructions, given verbally or in writing that fall within the parameters of own line of duty.
  • Willing to “go the extra mile” in achieving objectives

 

 

 

Minimum selection criteria

Personal attributes

  • Grade 10
  • Minimum two years experience in Truck Tyres

 

  • Excellent Interpersonal, Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
  • Good time management and ability to work independently
  • Self motivated and disciplined have integrity attention to detail.
