Consumer Pre-Development: WEAR for WINTER CHAMPION TIRES



Analysis of current state of the art products through physical benchmarking and reverse engineering design, modelling and simulation of different variations of geometries aimed to clarify Pattern wear mechanism and to trigger the definition of new Pattern geometriesto improve wear performance,  summarized through the preparation of dedicated technical reports.


Core Responsibility & Working relationship

• Benchmarking (organization and analysis) of the art Tires products in the market.
• Preparation of prototypes and tests organization … and analysis of related tests results.
• Operate an internal BS Tire Simulations to investigate wear mechanism, sarting from the definition of the pattern geometries, preparation of 3D models through CREO and post-processing / analysisi of the results
• Design of experiments thinking including data analysis and technical report  preparation
• Work effectively with R&D staff, run day-to-day operations, actively partecipate to cross-functional teams.


Job requirements

• Master’s Degree  in Mechanical / Aeronautical Engineering or any other related field of study.
• Experience in operation and troubleshooting of  FEM simulations such as LS-dyna, Abacus and meshing tools such as Hypermesh.
• Experience with software’s for 3D modelling (CREO) and meshing.
• Goal oriented, Digital mindset, Problem solving and fluency in written and spoken English
