INTERNSHIP TIRE NOISE ENGINEER
VALIDATION OF TIRE EXTERIOR NOISE SIMULATIONS
Job Purpose
The Candidate will be part of the R&D Engineering Team of Tire Mechanics and Noise experts, focusing her/his activities on:
Contributing to the validation and further development of tire exterior noise simulations, with the aim to start applying them to tire design for mitigating air-borne noise emissions, in the frame of current tire and vehicle pass by noise regulations requirements.
Core Responsibilities & Working interactions

Become familiar with Bridgestone Finite Element based tire models used to simulate velocity fields of tire contour reason of noise propagation and with FEM Acoustics software,

Update, extend and support scale of these digital assets by direct applications on consumer tire products, in order to reduce exterior noise emissions

Work effectively with R&D researchers, staff, technicians, and management of Bridgestone EMEA Technical Center, actively taking part to R&D cross-functional teams.
Job requirements

Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical, Aerospace Engineering,

Knowledge in Tire Dynamics and Tire Noise will be an added value, for instance because of Master Thesis in this fields,

Intermediate level user in CAD and Meshing software like CREO and HyperMesh will be an important added value,
-
Intermediate level user in CAE software like Abaqus or similia will be an important added value,
-
Intermediate level user in Acoustics FEM like Wave6 will be an important added value,
-
Programming skills in Matlab or Python will be an important added value,
-
Goal-oriented, motivated, creative and collaborative. Able to work within teams with strong communications skills.
