INTERNSHIP - Energy Management Engineer

Position Purpose/Mission
You will play a crucial role in the area of Digital Solutions applies to Energy Management.
In this fields you’ll be working for the realization of predictive mathematical models of Energy Consumption of Bridgestone Manufacturing Plants bridging from a descriptive to a prescriptive energy management approach leveraging on real time data collection from floorshop.
Your activity will contribute to the realization of more Sustainable Bridgestone’s Operations.
Job Responsibilities
You will be part of the Energy Team working together with Central Manufacturing Energy Expert as well as the Energy Managers of Manufacturing Sites having the opportunity to learn about tire manufacturing and related E2E process by interacting with the other company’s functions.
Main duties:
- Participate in a training program that will include: Project Management, Smart Factory Program, Sustainability Topics, Smart Energy Application.
- Understand about the overall tire manufacturing production management.
Manage, with the support of your supervisor, a project in the field of Smart Energy from its start to the delivery of PoC results.
Main Projects
Energy Consumption Analysis by Mathematical Models
- Definition of the business requirements
- Work with digital partners and with plant stakeholder to develop Mathematical Models defining the best solution which fits with the target of the activity.
Report periodically project status to Manufacturing management
Background
- Master degree in Applied Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence or Engineering in Computer Science or Mathematical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with background in Energy.
- Communication – ability to work effectively with cross-functional work groups including. Excellent listening skills.
- Initiative – proactive and takes action without being prompted.
- Learning agility – continuously seeks new knowledge, creates and fosters a culture of interest, curiosity and learning.
- Organization & Planning – manage time wisely and effectively prioritize multiple competing tasks.
Presentation Skills – Proficient in written and spoken English
