INTERNSHIP - Digital Manufacturing

POSITION DESCRIPTION

You will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) within our manufacturing organization. You’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining integrated solutions that enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall performance.

Your work will directly contribute to our manufacturing digital transformation initiatives.

You will be part of the Digital Manufacturing team working together with Engineering and IT departments, having the opportunity to learn about tire manufacturing and E2E production management (Safety, Energy, Maintenance, Process Quality, Finance…)

Main duties:

Participate in training program that includes: project management, PLC, Industrial communication protocols (OPC-UA, Ethernet/IP, Modbus, MQTT), Industrial Cybersecurity, Azure & PowerBI and much more
Understand overall manufacturing production management and how Smart Factory can support
Manage, with the support of your supervisor, a digital project from design to Go-Live
Actively participate to other projects and analysis, like AI Proof of concept (i.e. Generative AI application to Manufacturing)
 

Main project: Digital Advanced Benchmarking (ABM):

 

Interview ABM responsible (Energy, Maintenance, Process Quality, Productivity..) to define and document the business requirements
Work together with the Digital Plant dashboard team to prepare mock-up of the report, define technical solution
Manage development activities in Agile, assigning and tracking tasks in Jira
Report periodically project status to Manufacturing management 

 

Requirements:

Master degree in Control Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Engineering in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering or similar

Communication – ability to work effectively with cross-functional work groups including.  Excellent listening skills.
Energy – have the stamina and endurance to maintain a fast pace and continue to produce.
Initiative – proactive and takes action without being prompted.
Learning agility – continuously seeks new knowledge, creates and fosters a culture of interest, curiosity and learning.  
Organization & Planning – manage time wisely and effectively prioritize multiple competing tasks.
Presentation Skills – written and verbal.
