Job Purpose:
The candidate will be part of R&D chemical material laboratory team.
He/She will be responsible for the assessment, improvement and implementation of gas chromatographic methods including evaluation of Hydrogen as alternative career gas for gas-chromatography equipment and for the development of new chromatography methods in order to replace the current ones.
Responsibilities:
- Operate with chromatography equipment in the material lab.
- Operate with general facilities in the material lab.
- Resolve technical issues.
- Interpreting data in proper context in order to present them to senior colleagues and lab costumers.
- Performing mathematical calculations and preparation of graphs with suitable software.
- Work effectively with R&D researchers, staff, technicians, and management of Bridgestone Technical Center Europe, actively taking part to R&D cross-functional teams.
- Following and ensuring strict safety procedures and safety checks.
Requirements:
- Master Degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Material Science, Laboratory Techniques or any other related field of study.
- Knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and power point).
- Written and spoken English.
- Soft Skills: Teamworking, Communication, Problem-solving, Critical thinking, Feasibility.
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Experience in operating laboratory equipment
- Experience with gas chromatography equipment
