Job purpose
- Responsible for all sales activities towards assigned accounts or region (South – South-East NL).
- Responsible for the sales of our truck tires towards tire dealers and fleets
- Manage quality and consistency of product and service delivery.
- Manage & develop bigger customers with a higher potential.
- Work closely with the other departments to offer the best service to our customers
Main responsibilities / Key result areas :
Sales
-
- Obtain sales target
- Develop sales at current customers (tire dealers, truck dealers and fleets)
- Assist the sales force of our dealers in sales of our tires
- Increase controlled fleet business via indirect and direct fleet deals
- Big focus on sales of our retread offer (Bandag) to dealers and fleets
- Increase link with our Bandag Franchisee partners
- Improve brand mix
- Identify and resolve client concerns
Customer relations
- Visit existing customers on a regular base in a defined area in order to sell and promote our products
- Together with Finance department follow up credit issues with customers
- Identify prospects and set up a visit plan
- Establish long term relationships with key customers
Systems / Technical follow-up
- Demonstrate the benefits of our IT fleet systems to customers
- Follow-up our tire performance at fleets to convince them of our quality
- Help inspect tires and vehicles at selected fleets, often together with our Technical Consultants
Communication internal/external
- gather market information and communicate towards sales manager
- close contact with the other members of the Truck tire sales team
- helping colleagues of the other Commercial tires (Agriculture and Off Th Road/ Industry) as well as Consumer (car, van and motorcycle tires)
- attend sales meetings in order to discuss results and strategies
- communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff
- close contact with sales desk (orderdesk) , sales administration and Finance.
- Tight collaboration with our Fleet Admin team
- In the field collaboration with our colleagues from Webfleet
Marketing & promotion
- support promotions, campaigns, events and incentives
- attend trade fairs and open house events at customers
- train tire dealers and fleets on products and systems
- communication with marketing department

Required capabilities & experience
- Education: Higher education
- Professional experience within the automotive or a related relevant industry as a 1st working experience
- A first experience in a position as sales representative or a related commercial role
- Strong communication skills, commercial & social skills
- Good negotiator
- Long term relationship builder
- Good organizing skills (planning, administration)
- Profit driven
- Gives proof of autonomy & initiative
- Customer focused
- Proactive & hands-on
- Excellent level of Dutch (all customer communication will be in Dutch, both verbally and written)
- Good knowledge of English (all internal communication and towards headquarter is in English)
