POSITION DESCRIPTION

Job Purpose

We are looking for a  RTR (GL) Junior Accountant reporting directly to the RTR Team Leader. This is a local role based in Poznań SSC.

Record-to-Report (General Ledger) Junior Accountant is a finance specialist who has an understanding of accounting processes in the Organization and their source transactions. Record-to-Report (General Ledger) Junior Accountant is responsible for the accurate, efficient and timely processing of G/L activities. He/she is taking the initiative to improve processes, communication or the overall work environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provides support to a client in the following RTR processes: journal entries posting, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets accounting, month-end closing, intercompany reconciliations, various reports preparation
  • Posts and controls the correctness of accounting entries
  • Participates in departmental projects and standardization initiatives
  • Takes initiative to improve processes, communication or overall work environment
  • Assists with the annual audit process
  • Assists in KPI analysis, root cause identification and improvement suggestions
  • Supports a Team Leader in any additional activities and ad hoc requests

 

Requirements:

  • Some experience in accounting environment (internship) is required; proven expierence in General Ledger area is a plus, but not required
  • Relevant secondary education (or post-secondary Accounting trainings)
  • Good (B1, B2) English is a must
  • Sound understanding of accounting principles
  • Ability to review, understand and interpret financial data
  • High level of customer service and very good communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office (MS Excel in particular)
  • Basic knowledge of SAP FI or other financial/accounting system
