Job Purpose

As a member of the Center of Excellence Internal Controls & JSOX Complaince (COE ICC), the person works on all aspects of internal controls throughout the Bridgestone EMEA (BSEMEA) Group organization, including JSOX Compliance. Effective Internal Controls are necessary in the organization to provide reasonable assurance that material errors will be prevented or timely detected and remediated.  

The role holder cooperates with other COE ICC Team members, to develop and maintain effective internal control framework within the Group. The IC&JSOX Compliance Junior Specialist helps to identify potential finance process risks, contributes to their assessment, and participates in the set-up of adequate internal controls that would remediate internal control gaps across BSEMEA organization, with support from more experienced COE ICC Team members.



  • Contributes to high quality and timely execution of standard J-SOX processes within BSEMEA Group with strong support of other COE ICC Team members
  • Supports updates of J-SOX documentation on regular basis, to ensure it accurately reflects current processes, risks, and controls
  • Contributes to the assessment of risks (high/low) and (re) design of JSOX key controls in cooperation with other COE ICC Team members
  • Performs the tasks of COE ICC in BSEMIA self-assessments activities of low/ moderate complexity in cooperation with assigned local entities
  • Cooperates with other COE ICC Team members to identify root cause for identified deficiencies of low/moderate complexity and propose remediation action
  • Monitors progress of remediation of JSOX deficiencies & provide timely status update to COE ICC Team Leader (all Class A&B)
  • Cooperates with different stakeholders to resolve open issues and queries of low/moderate complexity
  • Executes transactional part of Internal Control testing activities
  • Addresses requests during finance & JSOX compliance audits (internal and external)
  • Oversees work of COE ICC Intern



  • Master's degree (Finance/Accounting)
  • Professional certification in progress (e.g.: ACCA, CIA), as an advantage
  • C1 English is a must (oral and written), additional language is an advantage
  • Understanding of accounting principles (IFRS) and basic understanding of internal controls frameworks (COSO, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of internal control objectives and financial risks
  • Basic understanding of SOD rules
  • Basic knowledge of SAP
  • MS Office tools good knowledge
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Ability to work under time pressure
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Problem identification, analysis and problem solving
