Job purpose

To manage and provide technical support as required for delivery of all the mechanical equipment required to achieve organisational goals.

Main responsibilities

  •  Maintain and reduce machine downtime

Planned Maintenance and condition monitoring

Repair breakdowns & do faultfinding.

Daily walkthrough inspections.

Make running adjustments.

  Note items for repair.

  • Continuous improvement initiatives

         Attend CFT activities.

  • Safety

        Work according to SOP’s.

  • Housekeeping

        Apply 3S principles.

Required capabilities

 

  • Dependable quality of work to care for and maintain equipment.
  • Ensure minimum downtime.

 

Education:

 

  • N3 Mechanical Engineering
  • Qualified Artisan (trade Test at a recognised institution)

 

Experience:

 

  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role (Engineering or Manufacturing environment)
