ABOUT THE ROLE

Job purpose

 

In line with First Stop Europe’s marketing transformation and franchise excellence agenda, the Business Marketing Manager Retail EMEA South is responsible for coordinating and driving the execution of the marketing strategy across Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Switzerland.

The role serves as the key regional coordination hub between local markets and suppliers, the central marketing agency, central EMEA marketing functions, and the Head of Franchise Excellence. By ensuring strong collaboration, structured execution, and consistent deployment of centralized marketing initiatives adapted to local needs, the role directly supports franchisee growth, network performance, and the overall First Stop value proposition.

In addition, the role leads and coordinates the regional marketing resources across the countries in scope.

 

Main responsibilities

 

· Coordinate and drive the execution of EMEA marketing strategy across the South Region in close collaboration with local markets, suppliers, the central marketing agency, and the Head of Franchise Excellence.

· Act as the primary regional interface ensuring alignment between central frameworks and local execution needs.

· Orchestrate the rollout of centralized campaigns, tools, platforms, and performance measurement models across Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Switzerland.

· Ensure effective localization and activation of central initiatives together with local market teams and key suppliers.

· Lead, coach, and coordinate local marketing resources across the region, with direct and/or dotted-line responsibility depending on market setup.

· Drive performance tracking, insights, and continuous optimization in cooperation with central marketing and local stakeholders.

· Support franchisees and regional teams in activating marketing initiatives that drive traffic, leads, and revenue.

· Ensure consistent brand standards, messaging, and customer experience across all markets.

· Support cross-functional initiatives linked to Give & Take evolution, franchise operations, and network growth.

· Identify regional opportunities for efficiency, impact improvement, and scalable best practices.

· Prepare structured updates, insights, and recommendations for senior stakeholders.

· Ensure compliance with governance, data protection, and brand guidelines across all marketing activities.

· Lead and coordinate the planning and execution of regional and country conventions and key marketing events in collaboration with local markets, suppliers, and the central marketing agency.

· Proven ability to collaborate effectively with agencies, suppliers, and cross‑functional stakeholders across multiple countries.

· Ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders across cultures, functions, and organizational boundaries without formal authority.

· Strong performance marketing mindset with the ability to define, track, and optimize KPIs.

· Excellent structuring, analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

· High execution discipline with strong prioritization capability in complex, fast-moving environments.

· Strong analytical curiosity combined with business pragmatism and the ability to translate insights into actionable plans.

· High agility and resilience in transformation contexts, demonstrating a proactive, solution‑oriented, and ownership-driven approach.

· Ability to maintain high attention to detail while keeping a clear strategic overview and focus on business outcomes.

· Ability to lead, coordinate, and motivate regional marketing resources across direct and dotted-line reporting structures.

· Capability to provide clear direction, constructive feedback, and drive accountability while fostering a culture of collaboration and centralized ways of working.

· Strong organizational skills with consistent focus on performance improvement and disciplined execution of centrally developed marketing initiatives.

· Fluency in English; Spanish and/or Italian strongly preferred (Portuguese or French a plus).

 

Required Experience:

 

· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related discipline; master’s degree preferred.

· 10+ years of relevant experience

· Strong experience leading or coordinating multi-market marketing teams within centralized or matrix organizations.

· Proven track record preferably in the retail, automotive or aftersales industries.

· Familiarity with franchise or network-based business models is a strong plus
