ABOUT THE ROLE

About The Role

As an area manager You will manage and control all aspects of the Business units in your region including health and safety and controlling the expenses within budget parameters. Generating revenue to ensure a profit. Promotion of the company and welfare of all employees at the branches. The position requires a regional focus to ensure that a quality service offering is implemented and maintained throughout all service Centre and depot operations.

Key Performance Areas

1. Financial and Sales

· Achieve all Sales Targets set by Branches.

· Control expenses within parameter by branch

· Ensure company assets are maintained.

· Profit must be achieved.

· Ensure superior service deliveries.

· Weekly and Monthly communications with line management in terms of budget achievements, income, expenses

· Establish and maintain close relationships with customers.

· Assist all Branch Managers to run the Equity Stores as a profitable, compliant entity.

· Manage all COCs.

· Manage dead and slow-moving stock.

· Manage stock holding to less that 1(one) month turn over.

· Weekly and Monthly communications with line management in terms of budget achievements, income, expenses

2. Health & Safety

· Communicate the CEO policy on health and safety to all staff effectively and on a continual basis.

· Ensure service centers and branches are compliant in terms of the OSHA’s act.

· Communicate any risk, injury, loss of life or damage to company assets to management in line with prescribed company procedures.

· Ensure all Equity Stores in region achieve a minimum of 95% on all Safety Audits

3. Adherence company policies & procedures.

· Maintain a working knowledge of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act

· Adhere to the company’s amalgamated policies & procedure published on the company Intranet.

· Maintain knowledge of company’s Industrial Relations policies and procedures and interact with HR and IR as required.

4. Site Audits

· Analyze audit feedback and ensure all problems are rectified.

· Attend random monthly site meetings with Site customers.

· Give feedback to Country Manager on audits.

5. General

· Undertake all reasonable requests and instructions, given verbally or in writing, which fall within the parameters of this job.

· Adhere to such requests or instructions.

· Ensure all equity stores in the region achieve a minimum of 90% on all internal and facilities audits.

Minimum Requirements

· Degree in Operations Management, Business Management, Marketing Management

· Computer literate – MSOffice (Intermediate)

· SAP experience will be an advantage.

· At least 8 years’ experience in relevant field.
