ABOUT THE ROLE

 

Job Purpose

Overall, as the branch manager, you'll play a pivotal role in driving the success and profitability of the branch by effectively managing staff, operations, administrative tasks, sales, and customer service initiatives.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Planning.
  • Call strategy in place & documentation exist as proof.
  • Work in accordance with the plan.
  • Ensure Stock levels are according to budget.
  1. Motivation
  • Set targets that are achievable & according to our objectives.
  • Know debtors & contacts those who does not follow our sales policy.
  • Ensure everyone in the Branch understands the Core Values of Bridgestone
  1. Co-ordination
  • Monitor debtors’ progress / collection.
  • Coordinate general activities of Stores, Counter Sales, Reps, Fitters, Wheel Alignment & Admin.
  • check daily vehicle (Services, License, etc.).
  • Do stock take daily.
  • Manage daily invoicing.
  • Track sales progress.
  • Organize and manage spending to ensure that resources are allocated efficiently and according to a set plan.
  1. Human Resources
  • Undertake Performance Appraisals for direct reports.
  • Identify training and development needs for direct reports.
  • Check breakdown commissions monthly.
  • Supervise site staff, prepares leave plans and signs and submits leave form.
  • Manage staff in compliance with Company policies e.g., human resources, training, health and safety and employment equity.

        5. Health & Safety

  • Ensure adherence to health and safety standards.

        6. General

  • All reasonable requests & instructions that will be beneficial to Bridgestone and its customers, given verbally or in writing and falls within the skills parameters of employees. 

      7. Weekly tasks

  • Check all claim records.
  • Ensure that Petty Cash is reimbursed with the amounts paid out in the last week.

     8. Monthly tasks

  • Review Debtors
  • Review cash Flow
  • Review sales
  • Review budget/expenditure
  • Review gross Profit.
  • Review capital commitments
  • Review staff

 

 

 

 

Qualifications & Experience Required

 

Education, Master, other certification:

  • Post matric qualification.
  • Computer literacy
  •  

Experience (years):

  • Post matric qualification.
  • Computer literacy
  • 5 years in a senior position, preferably in a retail environment
  • Experience in the tyre industry will be an advantage.
  • Code 08 Driver’s License

Languages Skills:

  • English
  • Any local spoken languages
  •  

Soft/Behavioral Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Report Writing skills.
  • Integrity
