Job Purpose
To safely transport, fit, and maintain Off-The-Road (OTR) Tyres on mining equipment. This role involves working closely with site supervisors and maintenance teams to ensure optimal Tyre performance, minimizing downtime, and maintaining high safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Transport tyres, tools, and equipment to and from site using company vehicles
- Fit, remove, and repair OTR tyres on heavy mining machinery
- Conduct routine inspections of tyres and identify wear, damage, or defects
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with site safety procedures
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and tyre conditions
- Assist with breakdowns and emergency tyre repairs on-site
- Handle and operate tyre-fitting equipment and tools correctly
- Maintain housekeeping of work areas and company vehicles
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and clients on job progress
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and legal requirements

Qualifications & Experience Required
Education, Master, other certification:
- Standard 7 or equivalent
- Valid Code (BE) driver’s licence (essential)
- Relevant tyre fitting (OTR)
Experience (years):
- Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in tyre fitting, preferably with OTR tyres
- Experience working in a mining environment will be advantageous

- Knowledge of OTR tyre fitting, repairs, and maintenance
- Ability to operate tyre handler and fitting equipment
- Understanding of safety standards within mining environments
Languages Skills:
- Basic proficiency in English & Afrikaans (spoken and written)

- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work under pressure and in demanding environments
