Mission of R&D System Engineering Consumer Process Development team is to: secure quality at production start, develop BCMA methods and tools to enable a standardized, defect-free green tire and TAM process design and to contribute effectively to System Engineering Zero-Trial strategy by actionable steps that define the portfolio of models, methods and standards for Tire Green process design.
Responsibilities
You, as Engineer of System Engineering - Consumer Process Development team, will be responsible for:
- Green process design for the assigned REP lines, leveraging on BCMA standards and tools
- Solution of quality issues through PDCA analysis and countermeasures before release assigned products in production, leveraging on well-born tires approach
- REP operations, plant support and business trip: scale-up operations execution to grant new products release as per NPI workflow, including the attendance of on-site visit for plant trials (pre-industrialization activities, critical cases follow-up, widespread issue experiments)
- Tracing of differences between Green Tire master model and specific instances of the assigned plants
- Analysis of industrialization outcome to confirm gaps and enhancement areas of the adopted models and tools
- Contribute to the development and updating of new models and methods, leveraging on the data generated during industrialization in assigned plants
Qualifications & Experience Required
Education, Master, other certification:
- Master’s Degree in Engineering (or equivalent)
Experience (years):
- Experience in tire manufacturing (or automotive) is a plus
Technical Skills:
- Problem solving attitude and PDCA mindset
- Basics of material characterization, former know-how of tire manufacturing process and tools is a plus
- IT applications and programming: very good proficiency on MS Excel, knowledge of relational databases, Power BI and Python are a plus.
- Digital mindset: ability to develop and/or apply new digital tools to support decisions is a plus
- Presentation skill
