R&D Mold Drawing Ecosystem Coordinator


Purpose of the Role

We are on a transformation journey to shape a sustainable future of mobility, with the aim to contribute to transform towards being a Sustainable Solutions Company.  In this framework it is crucial to set up workflows characterized by strong agility and resilience in a VUCA environment, leveraging on a strong ecosystem of technical partners.

The Mold Drawing Ecosystem Coordinator will act as the central technical control tower, ensuring seamless communication and alignment between mold design engineers, suppliers preparing mold drawings, and suppliers approving them. He will be responsible for managing schedules, optimizing workflows, and maintaining technical documentation and software tools related to mold design.

He will set up the innovation roadmap in the Mold Drawing area and steer it, strongly leveraging on the technical partners capabilities, with the ambition to minimize Drawing release lead-time


Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Coordination: Serve as the control tower for technical discussions among mold drawing suppliers, approval suppliers, and internal mold design engineers.
  • Scheduling Management: Monitor, update, and control long-, medium-, and short-term schedules for mold drawing preparation.
  • Workflow Optimization and Innovation Management: Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements in processes related to mold design and approval. Codevelop, leveraging on technical partners capabilities, tools aimed to minimize drawing release lead time
  • Documentation Maintenance: Act as a technical bridge for maintaining manuals and best practices related to mold drawing preparation.
  • Software Support: Assist in updating and maintaining software tools used in mold design workflows.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field).
  • Technical Skills:
    • Experience with CAD systems; proficiency in CREO is highly preferred.
    • Familiarity with mold industry processes and standards is an advantage.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong organizational and scheduling capabilities.
    • Ability to optimize workflows and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Language: Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Preferred Background

  • Prior experience in the mold industry.
  • Hands-on knowledge of CAD-based design workflows, particularly with CREO.
  • Proven track record in technical project coordination and documentation management.

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to: System Engineering Director
  • Works closely with: R&D Consumer and Commercial teams, R&D Technical Partners, Mold Drawing Suppliers, Mold Manufacturers
