Logistics Inventory Planning Analyst

Job Purpose
As Inventory Planning Advanced Analyst, you will define and manage Target Inventory and Service Levels, balancing inventory requirements with network constraints, production strategy, deployment priorities, seasonal build-ups and exits, and the trade-off between service, cash and excess inventory risk.
You will proactively manage inventory quality, including aging and slow-moving stock, and continuously review inventory policies and planning parameters to keep them aligned with business strategy.
Through fact-based targets, scenario modelling and cross-functional collaboration, you will help anticipate demand-supply imbalances, optimize the balance between Service Level and cost, and reduce Slow Moving Dead Stock (SMDS) and OESK exposure.
Responsibilities:
-
Own Target Inventory and Service Level governance, from policy definition through planning execution and publication in the relevant systems.
-
Coordinate inputs and root-cause analysis, align Service Level changes with DRP, OPP and Sales, perform quality checks, publish targets to OMP and monitor deviations against the initial reference.
-
Set tactical inventory targets and lead scenario modelling to support planning decisions, incorporating production strategy, tactical insights, Pareto, MFlex, frequencies, MOQ assumptions and demand-supply balances.
-
Steer production decisions in response to demand-supply imbalances, translating gaps into build-up and exit actions while balancing service continuity, shortage risk, leftover stock and cash impact.
-
Maintain core assumptions and planning parameters and execute the monthly target-setting cycle, validating inputs including lineup, phase-in and phase-out, latest forecast, historical demand and Service Level assumptions.
-
Run the solver, perform quality checks and make targeted adjustments to ensure final outputs are aligned with the agreed strategy.
-
Own inventory quality metrics, provision analysis and excess-risk mitigation, including SMDS+2A exposure and deep dives into SMDS and over-max inventory in collaboration with the Network Planner.
-
Quantify provision impact with Finance and coordinate upstream and downstream actions to reduce current and future excess inventory.
-
Own the OESK scrap-at-plant process and associated exposure management, including consolidation of the full-year OESK projection based on actuals and forward views.
-
Perform monthly root-cause analysis, manage OESK budget consumption and coordinate cross-functional actions to reduce exposure.
