POSITION DESCRIPTION

Job Purpose:

The Distribution Planning team is responsible for the allocation of final products throughout the whole European and Global logistic network. The team collaborates with all other departments, production planning, tactical planning, sales and customer service in order to make sure production allocation is optimal.

This traineeship is taking place as part of the evolution of Distribution planning team that is increasing its scope of accountabilities to secure clean demand signal and oversee supply situation for European top customers (P2P Customers). Within this new frame the intern will be asked to analyze the different levels related to distribution planning, such as demand fluctuation and order collection with a specific focus on top European customer (P2P customers) to support this evolution.

The trainee will report to the Head of Distribution Planning and collaborate closely with the rest of Distribution Planning team and with local planning team in region managing P2P customers at operational level.

We offer a 6 month internship that allows to gain exposure to one of our core business units: Logistics, Supply Chain & Customer Services Management (LSCM). Throughout this period the intern will operate in an international, diverse business environment and have the opportunity to interact with many different stakeholders in Supply Chain, Sales & Marketing, regional sales teams…

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly/weekly KPIs dashboard for P2P customers aiming to monitor, analyze and report timely related LSCM KPI’s on P2P customers (such as monthly forecast, order collection, target achievement, Back orders, directs shipment….) 
  • Prepare weekly update with Local Teams and overall distribution planning team.
  • Ensure follow up of overall sales progress in the month reacting and suggesting activities needed to achieve targets.
  • Follow in accordance with forecast parameters the deployment for the P2P customers dislocated into the Regions. In case of shortage or supply problem propose proactively solution for increasing products availability.
  • Exchange information and actions with Regional planner to facilitate distribution planning activities and secure clean order book on P2P customers.
  • Align the list of P2P customers with whom we want to improve supply chain collaboration and optimized service in the most efficient way.
  • Design, develop and implement collaboration packages to share forecasts, supply plans and KPIs with P2P customers, in coordination with local LCSM teams and overall Distribution Planning.
  • On top of those main accountabilities the trainee could be requested to support overall distribution planning team for other ad hoc topics.

Required Capabilities:

  • Experience in using data analysis tools. e.g. Excel, Power BI, Microsoft Business Intelligence, other relevant business information software
  • Attention to detail

    • Ability to translate numbers into insights, and present them to stakeholders in an easy-to-understand manner
  • Fluent in English, additional language (Dutch, French…) is a plus

 

 

Experience:

  • Supply Chain, Business or Business Engineering degree or equivalent
  • Experience in supply chain planning / operations is a plus
  • Experience with big data / analytics is a plus
