ABOUT THE ROLE

About the Role

The Inventory Planning team is responsible for the target stock definition in the European distribution network, including 9 manufacturing plants and several central and regional distribution centers.

The trainee will support the team in the analysis related to the Inventory Planning process. In particular, this means monitoring inventory levels and quality versus target; running root cause analysis on deviations; and creating a PDCA plan with cross-functional teams to recover deviations and drive continuous improvement.

The trainee will report to the Head of Inventory Planning and collaborate closely with the Inventory Planning Analyst.

We offer a 6-month internship that allows you to gain exposure to one of our core business units: Logistics, Supply Chain & Customer Services Management (LSCM). You will operate in an international, diverse business environment and interact with many different stakeholders in Supply Chain, Sales & Marketing, and regional sales teams.

Bridgestone values personal and professional growth and promotes internal mobility. This traineeship can serve as a gateway to start your career at the world’s largest tire manufacturer.

Responsibilities:

  • Define inventory targets across all products and channels, including Regional, European, and Manufacturing Distribution Centers.

  • Plan monthly inventory levels with an 18-month horizon alongside Tactical and Operational teams, including mapping total inventory, production, import, sales, and export.

  • Define the optimal Distribution Center (DC) network with the Logistics team, including total inventory level by warehouse and product group.

  • Analyze the quality of stock and project future evolution (e.g., good stock, OE SKUs, slow-moving, obsolete).

  • Work with Sales & Marketing to reduce OE SKUs and slow-moving stock.

  • Identify and communicate risks (e.g., shortages) and opportunities with Sales and LSCM teams.

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Business Engineering, or equivalent.

Technical Skills:
