POSITION DESCRIPTION

Job Purpose:

The Distribution Planning team is responsible for the allocation of final products throughout the whole European and Global logistic network. The team collaborates with all other departments, production planning, tactical planning, sales and customer service in order to make sure production allocation is optimal. The intern will be asked to analyze the different levels related to distribution planning, such as demand fluctuation, order collection and inventory levels.

The trainee will support the team and Regional Coordinators to ensure support to the business goals achievement (Sales, Efficiency KPIs). The trainee will ensure the correction and updating of parameters and master data in order to allow a proper replenishment to markets and warehouses (Inventory strategy, Inventory levels, Forecasts integrations, …).

The trainee will be in charge of following the RYOGA implementation in Bridgestone LSCM meaning the re-definition and implementation of current processes in advanced digital language.

The trainee will report to the Distribution Planning Manager and collaborate closely with the Distribution Planning Analyst.

We offer a 6 month internship that allows to gain exposure to one of our core business units: Logistics, Supply Chain & Customer Services Management (LSCM). Throughout this period the intern will operate in an international, diverse business environment and have the opportunity to interact with many different stakeholders in Supply Chain, Sales & Marketing, regional sales teams…

Main Responsibilities:

  • Master Data update (Line Up, Source, Production Plan, Import CMS and Open POs
  • Import Management PC4
    • Management of Import from Japan, Turkey, Vietnam, China. Split definition of volumes based on forecasts, targets and stock projection
  • Daily Deployment RPA Management:
    • Blue Print, Daily Settings, Check on possible issues
  • Sales, Operation and Executions meeting support in presentation creation and minutes description
  • Orderbook Review and weekly release:
    • Line UP update (W Items), PLM
  • Refreshing OE reports to monitor Current Stock, FWC, Inventory strategy
  • Support in Regional firefighting and PC4 REP transversal projects:
    • Identify & report excess stocks, SMDS, DOT and obsolete stocks and propose actions to the regions
    • Advise regions on how to manage stock profiles for substitutions & NPI's
    • Stock offers and other customer campaigns (provide info, analyze)  based on stock in the MDCs/ELCs
    • Location rationalization analysis:
      • Analysis of volumes per location and how we're using them, what should be the correct format
      • Virtual plant Procedure reviewing and implementation
    • RYOGA Implementation:
      • Implementation of new processes in RYOGA language (Master data, Process flows design)
    • Back Orders Analysis:
      • Report & analyze during the month proactively the regional fill rate and back order situation and propose actions to sales (substitution, order cancellation, ...)
      • Decide on re-balance IPC's between RDC's from different regions
      • Discuss production options with production planner
      • Manage the rebalance transactions : organize shipment, inform Sales Order source / destination - transport
      • Manage back-order follow up request

Required Capabilities:

  • Experience in using data analysis tools. e.g. Excel, Microsoft Business Intelligence, other relevant business information software

    • Ability to translate numbers into insights, and present them to stakeholders in an easy-to-understand manner
  • Fluent in English, additional language (Dutch, French…) is a plus

 

Experience:

  • Supply Chain, Business or Business Engineering degree or equivalent
  • Experience in supply chain planning / operations is a plus
  • Experience with big data / analytics is a plus
