Position Overview:

We are seeking a Supply Chain Planning Application Architect to join our IT Supply Chain team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing supply chain applications, particularly those focused on demand planning, distribution planning, supply planning, and material requirements planning. This role requires an understanding of Advanced Planning Systems like OMP, Quintiq, Anaplan and its application within a complex, global supply chain environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and Developing IT Solutions:
    • Design and develop robust, scalable, and efficient IT solutions for supply chain applications, with a primary focus on OMP. Ensure these solutions are tailored to meet the specific needs of our business and contribute to operational efficiency.
  • Aligning Architecture with Business Objectives:
    • Ensure the architecture of supply chain applications aligns with the overall IT strategy and supports business objectives. This involves thorough analysis and understanding of business goals and translating them into technical specifications that drive value and support growth.
  • Leading Supply Chain System Projects:
    • Manage and oversee supply chain system projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Provide clear direction, manage resources effectively, and ensure project goals are met to support the company's supply chain initiatives.
  • Collaborating with Stakeholders:
    • Collaborate closely with supply chain stakeholders to understand their requirements and challenges. Translate these business needs into technical solutions that enhance supply chain efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction and alignment with business goals.
  • Providing Technical Expertise and Support:
    • Act as the primary technical expert for OMP-related issues and enhancements. Provide guidance, troubleshoot problems, and implement solutions to maintain optimal system performance and support business continuity.
  • Conducting System Audits and Performance Tuning:
    • Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to ensure supply chain applications, particularly OMP, are functioning at peak performance. This proactive approach helps prevent issues and ensures the systems support business needs effectively.
  • Driving Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in supply chain technology and APS. Identify opportunities for process and system improvements and lead initiatives to implement innovative solutions that drive efficiency and competitive advantage.
  • Developing Documentation and Training Programs:
    • Develop comprehensive documentation for system architecture and functional / technical solutions.  Train and mentor IT staff and end-users on OMP functionalities and best practices to ensure effective use of the systems.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Degree in Business Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Physics, Mathematics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Bachelor’s but Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 3-5 years of experience as an IT Application Architect, Product Owner or Functional Analyst; with a strong focus on supply chain applications.
    • Proven experience with OMP or comparable APS platform (Quintiq, Anaplan etc.).
    • Experience in leading large-scale IT projects within a multinational environment is preferable.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Knowledge of APS like OMP, Quintiq, Anaplan etc.  Understanding on architecture and integration with other supply chain systems.
    • Proficiency in relevant programming languages and database management systems.
    • Strong understanding of supply chain processes and best practices.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Strong leadership and project management abilities.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
