Job purpose

We are looking for a qualified team leader to coordinate  the processes related to Sales Order and STO flows, Customs and Transport  flow. You will also be responsible for supervising, managing and motivating a team of planners & operators on a daily basis. The ideal candidate is able to create relevant KPI’s and to take both short term and long term actions to improve team and process performance


Main responsibilities

  1. Transport Planning
    • Follow-up on transport planning made by the team
    • Aligning capacity loading and unloading point and carrier capacity
    • Close communication with carriers and follow-up on carriers and aligning on improvement plans
    • Troubleshooting and initiating corrective and preventive actions
    • Preparing weekly plan based on in and out volumes and manpower
    • Contact with sales desks


  1. Customs
    • Follow-up non-EU production
    • Coordinate meetings with shipping lines
    • Contribute with our Trade Compliance Officer to implement new customs software application
    • Customs reporting


  1. Order Planning
    • Follow up on process of sales, stock transfer and OEM orders, with special attention on niche and TPMS flows
    • Close communication with demand planning and sales team
    • Direct contact with OEM customers


  1. People Management
    • Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture
    • Supervise the activities (including roles & responsibilities) of the team
    • Delegate tasks and set deadlines for the team
    • Motivate & support team members
    • Share knowledge and show best practices within the team to develop team members
    • Manage overall performance & development of the team


Required Capabilities

  • Academic bachelor degree
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong organizational skills to deal with different priorities and close follow-up of actions
  • Proactive and strong in communication and negotiation with direct colleagues as well as other departments and customers
  • Result oriented with a strong customer focus
  • Focused on continuous improvement in the processes
  • Stress resistent
  • Quick learner and results driven
  • Able to work both autonomously and as strong team player
  • Technological savvy
  • Dutch native speaker
  • English as a business language is a must; knowledge of other European languages is an asset Able to work with the standard applications like for example Microsoft Office , MS Excel (strong knowledge)
  • Knowledge of SAP is an asset



  • 5 years’ experience  in logistics, customer service or similar required
  • Relevant experience in people management
