ABOUT THE ROLE

Job Purpose

As a Logistics Support Officer, you provide hands‑on administrative and IT support to the warehouse team. You play a key role in ensuring operational processes - such as inbound and outbound flows, stock handling, and order processing - are accurately documented and efficiently coordinated. You also act as a back‑up for IT‑related internal support and reception duties, contributing to smooth cross‑functional operations.

 

Responsibilities

Operational Support

  • Prepare and process order documentation to support daily warehouse operations
  • Monitor goods movements (inbound, outbound, returns) in the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • Provide operational and first‑line IT support to drivers and warehouse staff in case of system‑related issues
  • Monitor stock levels and support cycle counts and inventory reconciliation
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to resolve discrepancies and improve process efficiency
  • Maintain accurate records of product locations, stock adjustments, and damaged goods
  • Assist in onboarding new warehouse staff with administrative procedures and system access
  • Identify inefficiencies in administrative workflows and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Prepare ISO documentation for warehouse operations
  • Prepare reports and KPI dashboards for warehouse management
  • Act as a point of contact for administrative queries from the warehouse team

Workforce & Planning Support

  • Support general workforce coordination, including shift schedules, team availability, and planning needs
  • Maintain and update records related to holidays, absences, evaluations, and working hours
  • Facilitate communication between warehouse staff and management regarding planning needs
  • Help prepare staffing overviews and assist with organizing temporary support when required

IT Support

  • Act as a backup for basic IT support, including troubleshooting hardware/software issues, resetting user access, and escalating issues to IT HQ
  • Support system updates and assist with testing new functionalities or tools used in logistics operations

 

Qualifications & Experience Required

Education

  • Secondary or higher education, preferably in logistics, administration, or a related field

Experience

  • Experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a strong asset

Technical Skills

  • Hands‑on experience with ERP systems, Excel, and WHP
  • Knowledge of reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) is an asset
  • Proficient in MS Office

Languages

  • Good communication skills in English and Dutch

Soft Skills

  • Analytical mindset with strong planning and forward‑thinking ability
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to support cross‑functional tasks and adapt to changing priorities
