Jobomschrijving

De Distribution Manager is verantwoordelijk voor de operations en de roadmap voor het magazijn in Zeebrugge en het om te bouwen tot het flagship distributiecentrum voor Bridgestone Europe.

In deze rol ben je verantwoordelijk voor het behalen van de doelstellingen op vlak van service en kosten via management en het ontwikkelen van het team. Als Distribution Manager zal je initiatieven voorstellen en leiden om de distributieactiviteiten te verbeteren en te stroomlijnen.

Het distributiecentrum in Zeebrugge beslaat een oppervlakte van 139 000 m², met een gebouw van 88 000 m² en een parking van 14 000 m². De activiteiten in Zeebrugge omvatten banden voor auto's, motorfietsen, vrachtwagens en bussen, landbouwbanden en banden voor terreinwagens, waarbij jaarlijks ongeveer 70 000 ton product door het distributiecentrum passeert.

De activiteiten van Zeebrugge omvatten de ontvangst van containers en vrachtwagens en de shipment van gepalletiseerde en niet-gepalletiseerde vrachtwagens. Het team is verantwoordelijk voor transport afroepingen, zowel voor de Benelux als voor de Europese distributie.

 

De distributiemanager van Zeebrugge zal:

  • De veiligheid van het team en bezoekers garanderen. Je behoudt een sterke focus op de veiligheidsprocedures en het bewustzijn hiervan bij de werknemers
  • Beheer van de warehouse operations gebaseerd op de overeengekomen service levels, zowel voor het Europese als regionale distributiecentrum voor Benelux. Belangrijke taken:
    • Tijdige ontvangst van banden uit overzeese en Europese fabrieken
    • Zorgen voor een optimale capaciteit en externe opslag indien nodig
    • Sterke focus op capaciteitsplanning, volume evoluties en wijzigingen in de productmix op korte, middellange en lange termijn
    • Beheer van de voorraadniveau’s (bonded en non-bonded stock)
    • Beheer van implementatie voor directe klanten en Europese en regionale distributiecentra
    • In balans houden van workload en benodigde human resources
    • Processen opvolgen volgens KPI’s
  • Kwaliteitscontrole verzekeren gedurende het hele proces van receptie tot levering
  • Leiden en motiveren van een team: 20 FTE bedienden (planning, support) en 80 FTE arbeiders (supervisors, teamleaders, magazijnmedewerkers). Hun taken:
    • Bestellingen van klanten ontvangen en behandelen
    • Planning van laad- en losactiviteiten op de site
    • Organisatie van transport volgens de gevraagde leveringsdata van de klant
    • Voorraadbeheer, goederenontvangst, voorbereiding en dispatching van orders OTIF
  • Een goede relatie onderhouden met interne klanten en lokale stakeholders (overheid, publieke organisatie, vakbonden, havenautoriteiten, leveranciers, transportbedrijven, dienstverleners, douane, …)
  • Initiëren en controleren van het operationele budget (OPEX)
  • Initiëren en controleren van het investeringsbudget (CAPEX)
  • Opvolgen van het ISO kwaliteitssysteem
  • In stand houden van het hoog niveau van de service levels zowel intern als extern
  • Leiden van projecten rond continuous improvement in processen en operationele activiteiten
  • Continue organisatorische focus en verbetering door coaching van medewerkers en teams, hen te laten ontwikkelen en training en opleiding te faciliteren.

  • Specifieke gedragingen/houdingen:
    • Sterke leiderschaps- en coachingsvaardigheden

  • Taakspecifiek
    • Goede analyse- en probleemoplossende vaardigheden; kunnen communiceren met en motiveren van een breed team. Sterke onderhandelaar.

 

Ervaring

  • Minimaal 10 jaar ervaring in een leidinggevende functie verantwoordelijk voor 1 of meerdere distributiecentra en bijbehorend secundair transport voor een regionale of mondiale multinational. Ervaring met rechtstreeks werken voor het bedrijf of een gecontracteerde 3PL-logistieke leverancier kan worden overwogen.
