General info:

Strategic Planning accountability is to co-shape BSEMIA Strategy with Top Management and Entities Heads, plan it throughout the company and support its deployment across all Entities, for each of the main businesses of BSEMEA company.

Strategic Planning manages & drives forward the portfolio of Strategic Priorities & Initiatives at EMIA level, supporting the Strategy executing towards our North Star.

The aim of this position is to drive Strategic Planning activities in BSEMIA and the position reports to the Head of Strategic Planning & Business Intelligence, BSEMIA.

Job purpose

This role is key to drive Strategic Planning Department activities. Exposure is very high towards Top Management of BSEMIA and it is a key role to maintain relationships with Corporate Planning in Japan.


Strategic Planner is in charge to operationally drive the Strategic Planning processes (MTP, OB, TOP10) of BSEMIA. Furthermore, maintain BSEMEA’s end to end strategy portfolio up-to-date, support Head of in driving forward BSEMIA Executive Committee Requests (like Competitor Analysis) and to support industry market studies (demand, sales, market share), competitor analysis as well as support dedicated researches in the broader field of tyre and automotive in general.


In addition, this role plays a key part in supporting the JV activities with BRISA and CIS Regions (where we have Joint Ventures with other companies).


Main responsibilities


Drive MTP processes: operationally drive the preparation of the MTP together with the ExCo, the Regions and all main Functions

Support OB Process: support preparation of the OB / MTP together with Finance, aligning with ExCo, Regions and main Functions

Support TOP 10 Process: operationally support the preparation of the Ten Years Operating Plan, being in charge of quantitative analyses (10 years forecast for PSR, TBR Market Demand, Sales, Market Share)

Support G-EXCO material preparation: support Head of in preparation of material for G-EXCO (Competitive & Financial Review, MTP, OB, Sales Volumes, and other specific requests)

Analyze & extract insights: data collection, specific analysis (tire competitors analysis, strategic fields such Connected, Autonomous, Shared & Electric Mobility, etc).

Maintain relationships: build and maintain strong relationships with main stakeholders in BSEMIA (Consumer, Commercial, Mobility Solutions, Regions, Functions), to ensure smooth sharing of information from Strategic Planning to them and vice versa.

Support JV activities in BSEMIA: support ExCo in driving JV activities (project management, Joint venture agreements revisions coordination and management, coordination for BRISA operational relation between BS group (like offtakes, BSJ related etc)

Specific "ad hoc" research projects: support ad hoc research projects




Major / Subject: Economics / Business

Degree level preferred: MSc


Professional experience:


4-6 years previous experience

Previous experience in corporate strategy / planning, with exposure to Top Management, is highly preferred

Understanding of financial concepts (P&L, basic accounting, financial calculations like IRR, NPV, etc…)



Personal attributes:


Ability to work in a multicultural environment

Precise, analytical but able to see the bigger picture

Understanding of financial analysis (balance sheet, P&L, financial ratios, etc…)

Able to respect deadlines and to cope with stress of working side by side with Top Management

Curious and looking at new trends in the automotive industry and consumer behaviour in general

Good communication skills (presentation writing and presenting)



 Fluency in English (oral and written) is mandatory requisite
