Job Purpose:


We are looking for a  Supply Chain Planner for our Agriculture products (AG), reporting directly to the Commercial Tactical & Operational Planning Lead. This is an EMIA role, based in Zaventem with following core responsibilities:


  • Overall responsibility for AG end-to-end planning, from tactical and strategic planning to distribution, managing as well operational planning.
  • Ensure excellent supply chain planning through the utilization of sales information (forecast, orders) and production capacity, maximizing sales at minimum inventory and logistics costs whilst respecting customer service expectations. Objective is to keep the supply and demand in sync on a macro and micro level.
  • Drive supply chain integration with all related supply chain stakeholders. This includes improvement of demand accuracy, definition of allocation, priority setting with sources, etc..
  • Monitor and report on main forecast, production, inventory and deployment unplanned deviations for AG product group.


Main responsibilities:


Business Operations – S&OP Tactical Supply Planning for AG Products


  • Lead and manage the European Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Process for AG Products and the plant.
    • Horizon 1 to 12 months.
    • Management reporting: Create S&OP related reports and develop synergies with other LSCM reporting.
    • Ensure the information provided to Senior Management is clear and concise upon which decisions can be made.
  • Responsible for central coordination with Sales & Marketing, Plant, Industrialization Planning colleagues, mold management function and local order fulfillment teams to ensure compliance with the agreed strategy to manage demand/supply issues.
  • Create purchase plans for AG products:.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationship with the Commercial Business Unit.


Business Operations - Operational Planning AG products


  • Responsible for excellence in monthly production planning of AG plant.
    • Provide detailed monthly ticket to plant respecting operational schedule deadlines, sales requirements, production constraints and inventory quality.
    • Analyze ticket feasibility with production scheduler based on plant capacities and constraints and take appropriate countermeasures.
    • Make appropriate production modifications to cover any potential additional demand in coordination with plant scheduler.
    • Develop and maintain strong working relationship with plant scheduler, plant manager and warehouse manager.
  • Responsible for excellence in other monthly operations for AG products: inventory management, phase- in/phase-out processes, import orders.
  • Support Operational Planning for Commercial Products:
    • Monitoring of demand levels to check impact on Production and Inventory Levels. Follow- up demand vs. stock levels, and drive supply accordingly.
    • Monitor backorder and lost sales levels: Analyse root causes, define corrective measures on demand and supply
    • Monitor stock levels: analyse inventory quality, define corrective measures: impact on product lifecycle, production, demand
  • Coordinate New Product Introduction together with IPL
    • Define strategy to introduce new products depending on stock of the predecessor, production capacity, sales split old /new.
    • Follow-up sales and inventory levels of old & new products.
    • Define and implement counter-measures where required.


MTP and Budget (OB and RB)


  • Lead the budget process for AG Products
  • Ensure that budget is aligned to overall LSCM strategies and goals.
  • Work with IPL to improve the implementation of the MTP strategies into the tactical and operational planning for Commercial Products to improve both the Budget and MTP processes.
  • Responsible to determine Production Requirements in line with budget and strategies


Project Management and Value Creation


  • Initiate and participate in various projects launched within central planning team group to improve supply chain planning.
  • Identify areas for improvement in current processes and/or systems
  • Initiate projects to improve current situation




  • Master level or equivalent by experience
  • A first relevant working experience in supply chain, preferably in a planning role
  • Strong analysis skills, Strong Supply chain systems knowledge
  • Very good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Shows diplomacy and flair. Strong facilitating skills
