Job purpose

 

Bridgestone Europe is looking for a Pricing Specialist to join the BSEMIA Central Pricing Team, who will work closely with our regions (Europe, MEA, SAF, CIS) for implementation of pricing strategy and provide relevant analysis and support for negotiations to steer the business in line with company targets.

Given the cross-functional participation involved, the person will create and maintain relationships with different stakeholders (finance, supply chain, product management functions, regions and countries) in the organization.

The person maintains high ethical standards, ensuring that data is gathered from appropriate sources using only appropriate methods consistent with Bridgestone values.

Some travel to the Europe regions is required.

 

Main responsibilities

 

The Pricing Specialist will be involved in below activities which are undertaken by HQ pricing team.

 

Competition & Price Positioning analysis

  • Monitor competitive pricing performance on European level, and make recommendations in line with BSEU strategy, profit and share objectives
  • Generate action proposals based on insights from competitive pricing analysis, sell-on /sell-out positioning of Bridgestone vs competition, consumer & dealer pricing, margin and value analysis
  • Perform regular or ad-hoc various analysis to support business decision; present in a clear, concise, convincing, and actionable format
  • Develop/optimize and maintain price analysis tools to facilitate the process

 

Price strategy setting & execution and control

  • Design List Prices for current and upcoming products which optimize the best price positioning in market and reflects the value of our brand and products 
  • Define guidelines & framework for price conditions (discounts, rebates) and work in close collaboration with sales teams and regional pricing teams to set right price offers to customers
  • Support regions/countries on tactical actions , campaigns creations and business growth opportunities
  • Provide accurate and regular price variance reporting highlighting key priorities, changes and attention areas

 

Act as Subject Matter Expert

  • Serve as internal subject matter expert on price data acquisition / research methodologies, analysis, reporting, and cooperate with Market Intelligence
  • Supports leadership team members in understanding what the data means and what actions to take

 

Experience

 

  • Degree level expected: degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing or Finance
  • Description: Master degree desirable
  • Experienced in multinational organization and environment from automotive, other spare parts or consumer goods as preference
  • Background: Pricing, Sales Planning, Market Intelligence or alternatively combination with Marketing and Finance
  • Min 3 to 5 years of experience in Pricing, Market Intelligence, Sales, Finance 
  • Fluent in English, other European languages are plus
