We are looking for a   Payroll & Benefits Specialist reporting directly to the People Solutions Team Leader - Benelux. This is a local role, based in Zaventem.

You will be our internal specialist towards the HR Business Partners regarding payroll and benefits. You are in charge for all related payroll processes (payroll &  related administration of fringe benefits) for the EMEA Headquarters and our different locations. The population covers mostly white collar employees, but also support to blue collar workers population is required. 

As our HR processes, tools and services are constantly evolving, you take on an active role in different HR related projects  and provide your invaluable input to improve our administrative and payroll processes.

You are the first line of contact for employees for questions related to payroll, benefits and social legislation, and play an active role in the onboarding process of newcomers.

 

Responsibilities:

Administration

  • Manage general HR administration & process documents for employees, including continuous improvement;
  • Ensure correct affiliation of the employee with the hospitalization and collective insurance;
  • Process parental leave and time credit requests;
  • Report labor accidents;
  • Coordinate the onboarding and offboarding of employees together with the People Solutions team leader;
  • Prepare all document related to social and fiscal audits.
  • Verify and approve Employee benefits invoices;

Payroll

Lead Belgian and Dutch payroll for +500 employees. This includes:

  • Maintain payroll and time records in the HR system to ensure the information is up-to-date and accurate;
  • Collect, review and input of payroll information to prepare the payroll cycle;
  • Process complex payroll such as payroll for detached employees, Japanese Expats, Salary splits and non-residents;
  • Provide information and answer employee questions about payroll related matters.

Benefits

  • Coordinate the annual bonus optimization (warrants-FOP) process;
  • Support the Rewards Team on the annual merit review and annual incentive process;
  • Manage from A to Z all the collective insurance plans, including continuously improving both process as the content of the plans.

HR Projects

  • Initiate, coordinate and implement HR procedures and policies;
  • Actively research all payroll and benefits related legislation in order to ensure compliance with legislation and introduce improvements where possible.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Proficiency in Excel is a must;
  • Experience with SuccessFactors Employee Central as a plus;
  • Knowledge of SAP would be an asset.
  • Service minded, client oriented & a good communicator;
  • Pro-active, hands-on, flexible, eager to learn;
  • Project and planning skills;
  • Detail oriented & analytical skills;
  • Curious to learn and look at process improvements
  • Fluent in Dutch and English. As we are an international company any other language would be an asset!

Experience

  • Payroll experience of 5 years minimum, preferably with a global payroll provider and a sound basis of social legislation;
  • Experience in an international environment;
