Job Purpose:

 

Our Information Technology organization is increasing its capacity and capabilities to play an even more integral role in the definition and execution of key elements of Bridgestone EMEA expansion plan and digital transformation. As a member of the IT Project Delivery Office, you will support Business leadership as new project initiatives are released. You will serve as a catalyst for building high-performance project/product teams composed of internal IT resources and external infrastructure and application integration partners. Well defined project management and project financial experience is required for this position.

 

Responsibilities:

 


AGILE Project delivery / SCRUM master:

  • Manage day-to-day aspects of project management which includes leading Agile meetings (Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, Review, Retrospectives, and Daily Stand-Ups)
  • Facilitate decision-making, issue resolution and consensus among the team members and dependent teams.
  • Embrace a leadership role and support the team by proactively identifying and removing roadblocks
  • Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests.
  • Plan projects in order to accomplish its goals within constraints such as time, cost and agreed quality standards.
  • Coordinate communication between staff and third parties acting on behalf of the client.
  • Efficiently manage any issues due to scope-creep, changed requirements, missed deadlines, etc. to bring them back on the plan or create a new plan with the assistance of key stakeholders.
  • Control and manage final project documents and assets to minimize gaps between project planning and execution.
  • Constantly monitor and report on the progress of a project to all stakeholders.
  • Balance personal ownership and accountability of immediate responsibilities with the flexibility and drive to jump in and fill gaps across the team as they arise.
  • Foster team communication, create easy channels of communication and handle any difference in opinion.

      

Waterfall / Hybrid project delivery:

  • You manage risks and changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs.
  • You measure project performance, incl. project budgets and gate approvals, from Planning through Closing stages
  • As part of the Project Delivery Office, you actively contribute to the evolution of the Project Delivery Framework and conduct coaching sessions to grow the practice of Project Management in Bridgestone EMEIA

 

Experience:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Preferred: Master degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Between 2- and 15-year experience, compensation matching experience and track record.
  • 2+ years Agile project management experience
  • Experienced with working with outsourced solution and service delivery partners
  • Experienced with working with remote teams
  • Experienced in business systems architecture modeling
  • Experienced in developing system solutions addressing operational problems
  • Nice to have: 2- 5+ years prior experience in an Agile Coach/leadership role helping teams efficiently deliver software
