Product Category Manager Consumer

Job purpose

Responsible for one of the consumer product categories for the EMEA market, the Product Category Managers develop a consumer-centric fact-based strategy for their category based on a thorough understanding of the market environment. They orchestrate and align the functional strategies of all stakeholders to ensure that the right products hit the market at the right time, price and place, supported by the right marketing support and messages in order to achieve the consumer business target in short-mid-long term.

Main responsibilities

• Plan and deliver the segment product portfolio, supporting the creation of the midterm plan for the category, presenting the big picture and roadmap to senior management and executing it on time and in full.
• Responsible for the product end to end life cycle, the portfolio optimization to increase customer value and company profitability and supporting improvement and efficiency in every step of the process.
• Define the target market and segment, the customer perception and needs, set the product performance which is perceivable be the end user and fact based.
• Be the reference of the product category for the new product developments following the stage gate process.

  Profile requirements

• Education: Master’s degree in business, economics, marketing or engineering
   

• Experience: Experience in product/category management. Background in the tire or automotive industry is considered essential. Experience leading matrix detached teams.
   
• Languages: Proficient in English and at least one other European language
