ABOUT THE ROLE

 

 

 

Job Purpose 

 

As a stores officer, you play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient management and organization of inventory. Your responsibilities typically revolve around overseeing the receipt, storage, and distribution of tyres, as well as maintaining accurate records of stock levels.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Receiving Stock

  • Ensure quantity, sizes, Order Numbers are correct and accepts correct stock and documentation.

  • Notify management and tyre company of short deliveries and register on invoice.

  1. Documentation

  • Ensure daily counts are done regularly, and the stock sheets are handed to the branch manager.

  1. Rethreading

  • Ensure tyres always reflect the number on both sides.

  • Ensure tyres are dispatched correctly and on time.

  1. General Administration

  • Ensure second Hand tyres are stored inside store.

  • Ensure tyres are stacked neatly and safely.

  • Ensure that tyres are branded if requested and ensure markings are correct.

  1. Health & Safety

  • Adhere to Health & Safety standards in the workplace and does not endanger other parties.

  1. General

  • Undertake all reasonable requests and instructions, given verbally or in writing that fall within the parameters of own line of duty.

 

Qualifications & Experience Required

 

Education, Master, other certification

 

  • Grade 10 certificate

Experience (years):

  • Computer literacy
  • Experience in the tyre industry will be an advantage.

Languages Skills:

  • English
  • Any local spoken languages
  •  

Soft/Behavioral Skills:

  • Integrity
  • Team work
