POSITION DESCRIPTION

Performance Indicator
  1. SERVICE OF EQUIPMENT
  • Correctly completion of documents for factory equipment serviced.
  • Check and service equipment as recommended by checklist.  
  • Make recommendations and give feedback to Factory/Risk Manager.
  • Do preventative maintenance on all equipment.
  • Do daily, weekly, monthly maintenance of factory equipment.
  • Ensure that service units are in working order and set to work specs in factory.
  • Service all compressors every six months.

2. ASSET MANAGE-

    MENT
  • Ensure safekeeping of equipment not in used.
  • Ensure spares of all equipment is ordered and kept in safe place.
  • Driving of Company vehicle in a good mannered way.
  • Adhere to Road and Safety Act.
  •  Ensure all equipment in good condition that is in use.
  • Ensure stock is checked and parts used ordered immediately. 
  • Ensure that equipment send for repairs is received back in a good working condition.
  • Do weekly stock count of factory spares.

 

 

3.  QUALITY CONTROL
  • Responsible for Final Inspection of all finished tyres to ensure that finished product is up to Company standard.

 

4. BRANCH MANAGERS / STAFF
  • Friendly service.
  • Take care of Company property.
  • Safety first.
  • Neat appearance.
  • Not always advice or get someone to advice when the need arises.
  • Always friendly & smiles.
  • Work is always correct and neat.
  • Work will not endanger anyone.
  • Always clean & presentable.

5.GENERAL

 

 

 

 
  • Undertake all reasonable requests and instructions, given verbally or in writing that falls within the parameters of own line of duty.
  • Willing to “go the extra mile” in achieving objectives.

6. HEALTH AND SAFETY
  • Ensures adherence to health and safety standards
  • Ensures staff adhere to Health and safety standards

 

 

Minimum selection criteria

Personal attributes

Grade 12 with Three years mechanical experience.

Valid Code 8 Driver’s licence
