POSITION DESCRIPTION

  1. Breakdowns
  • Breakdowns always handled effectively.
  • Correct completion of each breakdown sheet for invoicing and cross references.
  • Correct completion of Attendance Register according to call-outs done.
  • Correctly complete tyre change slips for wheel changes and had them in timely.
  • Generate sales by inspections on premises/breakdown.
  • Make recommendations to Manager.
  • Keep record of vehicles services.
  • Correct completion of vehicle logbook

 

 

 

Make sure that all overtime worked is signed by Supervisor/Manager.

 

2. Asset Management
  • Ensures safe custody of tyres, security in tyre bay and tyre store.
  • Safe driving of Company Vehicle.
  • Ensure all equipment in good condition in breakdown truck.
  • Ensures stock is checked daily.

 

 

3. Customer Care
  • Advice & help customer.
  • Friendly service.
  • Take care of his property.
  • Safety first.
  • Neat appearance.
  • Not always advice or get someone to advice when the need arises.
  • Always friendly & smiles.
  • Work is always correct and neat.
  • Work will not endanger anyone.
  • Always clean & presentable.

4.General

 

 

 

 
  • Undertake all reasonable requests and instructions, given verbally or in writing that falls within the parameters of own line of duty.
  • Willing to “go the extra mile” in achieving objectives.

5. Health and Safety
  • Ensures adherence to health and safety standards
  • Ensures staff adhere to Health and safety standards

 

 

Minimum selection criteria

Personal attributes

Grade 10 and Technical/Practical Experience of Vehicles

 

Friendly towards clients

Neat on person
