ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating leads, contacting potential customers, presenting our products or services, and closing sales deals. You will play a key role in increasing revenue by meeting and exceeding sales targets.

Key Performance Areas

  1. Sales
  • Ensure invoices are always signed (POD'S).
  • Ensure invoices reflect the correct products, quantities, and prices.
  • Achieve sales targets as set by the Company.
  • Handle breakdowns effectively.
  • Compile plan of action in conjunction with BHSA.
  • Work the plan constructively.
  • Identify new prospects on ongoing basis.
  • Make offers to prospects that will be better than our competition.
  • Test tyres (new and retread) back-to-back.
  • Organize Scrap tyres analyses and survey and arrange with Bridgestone Windhoek.
  • Promote and all BFSA range of products.
  • High frequency calls strategy (80/20).
  • Arrange tyre test with Bridgestone Windhoek.
  • Identify customer needs and preferences.
  • Issue break-down orders.
  • Business entertaining where necessary.
  • Inform customers on new products.
  1. After Sales Services
  • Handle complaints with tenacity
  • Phone customers regarding their claims and retreads
  • Discuss customers problems with branch manager.
  • Discuss survey and scrap report with customers.
  1. Administration
  • Survey action reports regularly
  • Receive reports from Bridgestone Windhoek
  • Maintain vehicle records.
  • Keep a list of regular clients.
  • Keep customers file updated.
  • Collect cheques as requested.
  • Daily banking
  1. Health & Safety
  • Adhere to health and safety standards.
  • Ensure staff adhere to health and safety standards.
  1. Security
  • Use equipment safely.
  • Drive respectfully.
  • Ensure that the load is properly secured (i.e., properly strapped down).
  • Responsible for the safe transport of goods
  • Service vehicle regularly
  • Ensure that vehicle is in good, clean condition.
  • See to it that onsite shops are neatly as well as in working conditions.
  • Park vehicle in a safe place.
  1. Asset Management
  • Ensure the safe custody of tires.
  • Security in tyre bay and tyre store.
  • Report damaged or worn equipment for replacement.
  1. Customer Retention
  • Know what the opposition offers.
  • Know market related issues and trends.
  • Make regular offers to attract business.
  1. General
  • Undertake all reasonable requests and instructions given verbally or in writing that fall within the parameters of own line of duty.

Minimum Requirements

  • Post matric qualification.
  • 3 years’ experience in a similar environment
  • Code 8 driver’s license
