ABOUT THE ROLE

Job Purpose

The Trade Marketing Specialist plays a key role in the execution and development of Trade Marketing strategies, supporting the company’s Go-to-Market approach through a combination of trade activation, promotional execution, digital tools, and project management.

The role contributes to the planning and delivery of sell-in and sell-out initiatives, enhancement of brand visibility at point of sale, coordination of digital platforms and trade programs, and measurement of ROI and effectiveness.

The position works cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, IT and external agencies to ensure consistent execution, operational excellence and measurable business impact.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Trade Marketing Planning & Execution

Support the execution of Trade Marketing initiatives in line with company priorities and Go-to-Market strategy.

Contribute to sell-in and sell-out promotional activities, trade programs and activation plans.

Ensure consistency and alignment of trade initiatives across products, campaigns and touchpoints.

Support the rollout of new initiatives, ensuring quality of execution and respect of timelines.

 

2. Trade Activation, POS & Assets Management

Localize and adapt trade marketing assets, sales enablement tools and POS materials for the local market.

Ensure brand visibility and consistency at point of sale in line with marketing and product priorities.

Support activations, customer events and commercial initiatives as part of the trade marketing mix.

Act as a bridge between central guidelines and local execution.

 

3. Digital Platforms & Trade Tools

Support the management and evolution of digital platforms and trade marketing tools (e.g. B2B/B2C platforms, loyalty or promotion portals).

Contribute to the rollout of new features, workflows and marketing automation initiatives.

Coordinate the localization and implementation of digital solutions supporting trade activities.

Monitor platform usage and performance, identifying improvement opportunities.

 

4. Project Management & External Agencies Coordination

Coordinate external agencies and service providers involved in trade marketing and digital projects.

Plan and manage project timelines, tasks, dependencies and deliverables.

Ensure effective communication and alignment among internal and external stakeholders.

Support tenders, supplier selection processes and ongoing vendor management.

 

5. Budget Management & Performance Monitoring

Support the planning, monitoring and governance of the Trade Marketing budget across initiatives and projects.

Track budget allocation, commitments and actuals in collaboration with Finance and internal stakeholders.

Ensure budget accuracy, consistency and alignment with approved plans and timelines.

Monitor performance and ROI of Trade Marketing activities, linking investments to business impact.

Provide reporting and insights on budget status and effectiveness of initiatives.

Act as a reference point for budget monitoring across the Trade Marketing team, ensuring visibility and control.

 

Education

University degree in Economics, Marketing, Business Administration or similar.

Experience

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Trade Marketing or similar execution-focused marketing roles, preferably in industries with strong POS, promotional and commercial activation dynamics.

 

Technical Skills

Good knowledge of Trade Marketing principles and execution.

Analytical skills and ROI measurement capabilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Strong understanding of sell-in and sell-out mechanisms.

Experience in POS activation, trade programs and promotional initiatives.

Project management skills applied to trade marketing activities.

Market and customer journey understanding.

Experience with digital trade tools and platforms.
