Job purpose
The Logistics Operation Specialist will follow on a daily basis the logistics activities for Bridgestone South Region, with the aim to ensure superior service at optimal costs for Bridgestone’s customers and internal stakeholders.
Main responsibilities
- Play an active role in the South Region logistic team to assure 3PLs respect expected standard and excellent performance at optimum cost.
- Work closely with supply planning and customer service teams to ensure resource is in place to manage operational volumes and throughput. Ensure robust communication channels are maintained for impacted stakeholders.
- Follow daily all operational processes to meet customer needs and solve issues.
- Set priority for inbound and managing inbound schedule with sources
- Monitor warehousing interface to ensure data availability and consistency
- Assure accurate Inventory management (stock control; stock in transit; discrepancy adjustment; DOT management)
- Support reporting activities & KPI tracking related to Logistics flow to assure effective PDCA and recovery plan implementation
Capabilities
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to cope with various and changing customer demands.
- Highly numerate with ability to analyze and interpret data to improve operations. Ability to synthesize and communicate outcomes of analysis clearly and effectively.
- Systems literate preferably with working knowledge of SAP, Warehouse Management Systems, Track & Trace tools. Advanced XLS, SQL experience desired.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changes when job demands it.
- Fluent English
- Project management skills
Preferred Experience
- Supply Chain or Business related Master’s degree.
- 1 to 2 years of supply chain experience.
- Direct experience with service provider contract negotiation and operations.
- Advanced XLS, PowerBi experience preferred.
