ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Demand Planner to cover a maternity leave, reporting directly to the Head of Demand Planning and Pricing.

The position is based in Rungis (France – 94) or in Zaventem (Belgium – Brussels area).

 

 

About the Role

Job Purpose

The Consumer Demand Planner is responsible for the planification of the demand for the Consumer Products (Passenger/Light truck/4x4/motorcycle tyres) for the WER (West region = France and Benelux). He/She is responsible for the proper implementation of the Consumer Products strategy mainly through demand planning, but also through product life management and some other Sales support.

The Consumer Demand Planner maintains and analyzes forecasts models and enriches them through any available information (market data, customer information, feedbacks from Sales teams…). He/She suggests and discusses the monthly volumes by country/customer that should be presented to all the stakeholders. He/She follows the European Demand Planning processes and deadlines.

The Consumer Demand Planner also supports the budgeting process, participating in the estimation of volumes for the next 3 years.

Finally, he/she will maintain relationships with the different stakeholders (Sales team, Supply Chain team, European Demand Planning, Business controlling…) of the forecasting process.

 

 

Responsibilities:

1) FORECASTING PROCESS

  • Gather, analyze and validate data from all the relevant sources (market trend, sales, marketing, new vehicles…).
  • Interact with the LSCM (Supply Chain) team to gather and share information.
  • Analyze forecast deviation and take actions to improve forecasting.
  • In discussion with the Pricing & Demand Planning Manager and the Business Unit Director, define and implement, on a monthly basis, sales forecasts based on sales strategy, customer information and market trends, to achieve Consumer Business Unit objectives.
  • Enter the forecasts in the system (OMP software), following the European Demand planning processes and deadlines. 
  • Present the new forecast proposal during the monthly “Demand Review Meeting”.
  • Once a year, take part in the mid-term (3-years) forecast definition and enter the decided forecast in the system (OMP software) for the different rounds.

 

2) BUSINESS PLANNING

  • Prepare the data for the European reportings (Regional Business Review…).
  • Prepare the estimation of the monthly “landing point”, reviewed on a weekly basis.
  • Occasionally, support the Sales Representants and/or customers with data (stock recommendation, order recommendation…).

 

3) PRODUCT LIFE MANAGEMENT

  • Make sure that the regional status (active/inactive) of our references reflects the product life cycle, the European and regional product strategies, and the equipment of new cars arriving on the market.
  • Make sure that forecasts reflect the status (active/inactive) of our references.
  • Help with the estimation of new product volumes.
  • Help with the identification of missing sizes in our line-up.

 

 

Qualifications & Experience Required

 

Education, Master, other certification:

  • Bac+5 in Business Administration (business school type)

 

Experience :

  • Experience in a similar position would be a plus

 

Technical Skills:

  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Proficiency with Sales forecasting application would be a plus
  • Supply Chain knowledge would be a plus

 

Languages Skills:

  • Proficiency in French and English required (oral and written)

 

Soft/Behavioral Skills:

  • Strong organization skills
  • Strong analytical skills

  • Interpersonal skills
