What is the purpose of this job: In accordance with BSEMIA Logistics Supply Chain Management (LSCM) strategy, the logistics project manager will be responsible for supporting, animating & improving the performance of the logistics department. He/she will work on efficiency of operations, through Continuous Improvement program, & larger projects, on automation & network design in particular as well as logistics service improvement in collaboration with other functions.

What will do – here are main responsibilities:

  • Logistic project management in scope of process changes and flow changes:
  • Continuous Improvement Program (CIP)
     In alignment with logistics operations manager and central logistics project manager be a local owner of potential improvements of our operations, imagine corrective action-plans, implement & follow the accuracy of the changes.
  • Warehouse expansion projects / warehouse re-location project
    Work with central logistics team to build robust business case for network changes and consolidating all data needed to support the proposal: business needs like location of potential warehouses, associated costs, OPEX/CAPEX (Operational and Capital expenses) comparison of different solutions, and payback of recommended option. Collaborate with central project manager on coordinating the project to ensure a perfect governance.
  • Automation
    Implement and developing new solution like high-bay warehouse, use robots/AGVs. Be part of network of experts led by central logistics project manager in this area that will propose new processes/machines.
  • Digitalization
    New technologies are enhancing fast & smooth operations for warehouse activities. What are the ones that could help to improve efficiency?
  • Contribution to non-logistics projects
    Participating to projects led by other services, within LSCM, or departments. Be the point of contact & representative of the function.
  • TMS & WMS project
    Participate in TMS & WMS projects with coordination of central project manager. In collaboration with business counterparts, IT experts & procurement team.
  • Data analysis & reporting
  • Data extract & analysis for performance mgt, studies or project, support in root-causes analysis,
  • Support in corrective action plan definition based on data analysis & knowledge of internal processes, proposal of corrective action plan, in collaboration with concerned persons,
  • Cost impact of flow changes supporting the business changes, potential modifications of service.
  • Coordination of the project management, including investment in accordance with IT/LSCM project coordinator and under lead of central project manager:
  • Define, update and prioritize list of logistics project, CAPEX (Capital expenses) & budget,
  • Follow the progress done (realization vs target, budget).
  • Support daily operation of local LSCM Department
    What You need to take this position – our required capabilities:
  • Education: graduate education, logistics &/o lean management certification would be a plus
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in logistics operations & experience in project management in relation with logistics activities (transport & warehousing). Experience working directly for the company or a contracted 3PL logistics supplier. Background in freight &/o warehousing procurement
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint – knowledge of SAP & network design modelling tool is an asset
  • Certification in project management
  • Proficiency in Polish and English is required, any other European language is an asset
  • Ability to communicate about supply chain to non-expert audiences on different levels in the company
  • Demonstrated capability to analyze and handle complex problems
  • Ability to work cross functionally, across cultures and support teams in different geographical areas
