ABOUT THE ROLE

About the Role

 

In line with Bridgestone Europe and First Stop guidelines, the Retail Account Manager is responsible for implementation & development of the Retail Network as well as contributing to the joined success of the Network and the Partner by ensuring:

  • The efficiency and profitability of the Retail Network by being the key window and consultant for our Partners to improve and optimise their operating profit and more particularly services, sales, marketing, and customer service for their points of sales
  • Recruit, develop and manage the retail network of maintenance and repair centres and work closely with our partners as well as central functions such as marketing and procurement to execute an effective strategy and deliver success to our business

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • You help grow the network by actively scouting for new, quality tire centers to join us.
  • You manage the existing First Stop network members, checking their sales revenue against the yearly targets every quarter.
  • You're strong at building on existing relationships — this gives you a clear view of partners' needs, so you can tailor our services and boost customer satisfaction.
  • You keep an eye on market trends and share your insights with the team.
  • You run targeted sales trainings for our members to help drive sales and revenue.
  • You promote centralized procurement services across the network, helping both the network and individual partners get the most out of negotiated supplier rebates.
  • You're the link between our central services (marketing, fleet, procurement, digital tools) and the partner network — communicating marketing campaigns, following up on them, and actively promoting the use of our digital tools.
  • You support partners with their day-to-day operations: analyzing best-selling sizes, advising on stock management, store layout, or updates to marketing signage.
  • You contribute to strategic planning, working with senior management to set long-term goals and the steps to reach them, and to keep improving what we offer the network.

 

Qualifications & Experience Required

 

Education, Master, other certification:

  • A Bachlors or Masters degree in Economics, Marketing, Business administration, Management Engineering as preference

 

Experience (years):

  • Min 3 years in Retail, Business Development, Key Account, Sales/After Sales Account roles consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • Experience in sales organizations in a complex and international and/or matrix environment
  • Knowledge of B2B environment, automotive and tyre business, after sales, spare parts, is considered a plus

 

Technical Skills:

  • Sales & Marketing Retail Know-How: Familiarity with retail and the industry
  • Analytical skills: the ability to analyze sales data, market trends and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop data-driven strategies
  • IT literacy: MS Office package including Outlook, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint

 

Languages Skills:

  • Dutch - native or fluent
  • English - full professional proficiency 
  • French - professional proficiency

 

Soft/Behavioral Skills:

  • Customer focus: a deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to enhance customer satisfaction through tailored solutions
  • Communication skills: strong verbal and written communication skills for effectively conveying ideas, presenting findings, and collaborating with team members and clients
  • Interpersonal skills: the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues and stakeholders fostering a collaborative environment
  • Negotiation skills: effectively negotiate with partners and prospective partners to secure favorable terms and build mutually beneficial relationships
