Bridgestone West is looking for a Pricing Specialist to join the Strategic Planning Team, who will work closely with the French and Benelux teams for implementation of pricing strategy, providing relevant analysis and support for negotiations to steer the business in line with company targets while improving pricing processes.

Given the cross-functional participation involved, the person will create and maintain relationships with different stakeholders (finance, supply chain, product management functions) in the organization.

The person maintains high ethical standards, ensuring that data is gathered from appropriate sources using only appropriate methods consistent with Bridgestone values.

Some travel within the region may be required.

Key Result Areas (KRA)



Competition & Price Positioning analysis

50 % of time spent


KRA Description:

•           Monitor competitive pricing performance at country level, and make recommendations in line with Bridgestone strategy, profit and share objectives

•           Generate action proposals based on insights from competitive pricing analysis, sell-in / sell-on / sell-out positioning of Bridgestone vs competition, consumer & dealer pricing, margin and value analysis

•           Perform regular or ad-hoc various analysis to support business decision; present in a clear, concise, convincing, and actionable format

•           Develop/optimize and maintain price analysis tools to facilitate the process


  • Maintain an up-to-date view of Bridgestone and its competitors pricing across all 4 countries



Execution and control of the pricing strategy

KRA Description:

•           Define guidelines & framework for price conditions (discounts, rebates) and work in close collaboration with sales teams to set right price offers to customers

•           Support countries on tactical actions, campaigns creations and business growth opportunities

•           Provide accurate and regular price variance reporting highlighting key priorities, changes and attention areas

•           Contribute to ROI analysis of the different investments made at customers (trade marketing…)

Act as Subject Matter Expert

15 % of time spent


KRA Description:

•           Serve as internal subject matter expert on price data acquisition / research methodologies, analysis, reporting, and cooperate with Market Intelligence

•           Supports leadership team members in understanding what the data means and what actions to take


  • Full ownership of pricing data across the region

Ideal Profile

Education (type & level) :

BA/BS college degree or its equivalent.

  • Ideally 3-5 years of experience

Professional certification(s) :

  • Degree level expected: degree in Business, Marketing or Finance

Professional experience :

  • Industry knowledge/interest – cars and/or motorcycles
  • Experienced in multinational organization and environment from automotive, other spare parts or consumer goods as preference
  • Background: Pricing, Sales Planning, Market Intelligence or alternatively combination with Marketing and Finance
  • Min 3 to 5 years of experience in Pricing, Market Intelligence, Sales

  • This position requires strong analytical, organizational, decision making skills.
  • Basic interpersonal skills are also essential to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business.
