ABOUT THE ROLE

Job Purpose

To support Quality related activities assigned with the scope of new technologies introduction and continuous improvement applied in the Manufacturing and logistic area with special focus on  quality assurance processes applied in the manufacturing, product evaluation. The person should be able to develop and carry out autonomously assigned activities with supervision from coordinator

Responsibilities:

Qualifications & Experience Required

Education, Master, other certification:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology

Experience (years): Previous working experience in Tire Industry considered as a plus.

Technical Skills:

  1. Digital Quality Assurance roadmap implementation (Quality 4.0)

•         Support the quality assurance processes applied in the manufacturing, product

•         Respect plan realization for projects as QA eng.

•         Support the injection of digital QA capabilities in Roma Plant

 

  1. Manufacturing QA support to new process and new product design

•         Partner with cross functional teams to evaluate design and processes at the early product design phase

•         Perform Risk Process Quality assessment by PFMEA analysis on existing and new technologies and ensure robust linkage with upstream Risk Analysis (DFMEA / DRBFM) with special focus on Q Characteristics, ensuring cost effective preventive and detection methods in the process

•         Develop and implement cutting edge quality inspection tools to evaluate functional, dimensional and cosmetic part characteristics

•         Support and collect data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process and part specifications

•         Problem solving based on data analysis; provide guidance to determine root cause and recommend potential solutions

•         Interface with internal and external groups to ensure that proper definition of quality expectations and that appropriate assurance techniques are used for the product

 

  1. Risk reduction, Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement

•         Perform root cause analysis of quality issues, often using advanced problem solving tools (like Lean Six Sigma, Design of Experiments,.)

•      Follow up simple cost-effective permanent corrective actions. Promote horizontal extension.

•      Follow up risks identification along supply chain and assure compliance to all Quality requirements

•      Follo w up the risk reduction concept according to the Quality Standards guidelines & global policies

•      Timely issuing and/or updating relevant Quality Standards and Co PFMEA.

•      Periodical reporting on activities status to management

  • Support external audits (IATF, Regulations, etc…)

 

 

 

 

 

Desirable:

One or more of below competences/skills will be a plus:

  • Quality tools for problem solving (5Why, 8D, Fishbone, etc..)
  • Basic knowledge on Tire technology / tire manufacturing process
  • ISO/TS 16949 core tools (FMEA, PPAC, SPC, APQP, MSA)

 

 Languages Skills:

English: fluent (Must)

 

Soft/Behavioral Skills:

Open mind and flexibility, Ability to interact with people, Ability to work under pressure, Good communication skills.
