About the role

Job purpose

As a key member of the Raw Material Planning team you oversee the periodical calculation of the material gross requirements on operational, tactical and strategic horizons.

Based on processes and routines with central and plant stakeholders, you collect all production planning inputs, and review with a critical eye. You keep track of major developments in new and changing tyre and compound specifications. These inputs enable you to calculate and analyze raw material requirements for all plants across Europe.

You act as owner for defining gross raw material requirements, act as owner to collect and challenge all required inputs. Good connection with stakeholders in central and local production planning teams and stakeholders within the European Technical Center will be important.

Within the Raw Material Planning team, you will keep the link with Raw Material Category Planners, who will use your work out as input to make the net raw material planning and order to suppliers.  You realize that the quality and timeliness of your work has a direct and important effect on your colleague’s work and output of the entire Raw Material Planning team.

You take ownership of part of the reporting related to gross raw material requirements, leveraging OMP as tool for daily operations and KPI tracking.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. GATHER INPUTS PRODUCTION PLANNING
    1. Gather production planning inputs for different categories including tyre production, compound production, bladder production and other
    2. Compile production planning inputs in operational weekly cycles, tactical monthly cycles and yearly strategical cycles
    3. Lead routine meetings with production planners to understand what is behind the volumes in the production plans, understanding and seeing risks and opportunities
    4. Analyze inputs from production planning to identify most accurate inputs and pro-actively identify attention points for material planning
    5. Need for special attention to trial production planning
  2. GATHER INPUTS SPECIFICATIONS
    1. Create on continuous basis visibility on upcoming new specifications for both tyres and compounds
    2. Lead and or join routine meetings with plants and European technical center to ensure all required specs data is available to ensure timely ordering of raw materials
    3. Collaborate closely with local stakeholders in plants finance and technical service teams to be aware about status and progress
  3. MAINTAIN MASTER DATA
    1. Maintain material master data in OMP
    2. Track and maintain specs master data in OMP
    3. Maintain data translation tables in OMP
  4. ANALYSIS
    1. Consolidate received and reviewed inputs
    2. Analyze gathered inputs to detect potential errors
  5. BOM EXPLOSION
    1. Run BOM explosions in OMP based on consolidated inputs
    2. Add extra requirements after BOM explosion
    3. Translate and split material codes
  6. VALIDATION
    1. Challenge outputs versus different data sources
    2. Validate outputs against own data records
    3. Validate outputs with stakeholders who provided inputs
  7. REPORTING
    1. Prepare and analyze reports and KPI’s related to gross requirements

 

Qualifications & Experience Required  

Experience

For this position we expect a professional experience of +3 years working in supply chain planning roles / similar through experience.

 

Technical Skills: 

Affinity with IT systems and technology, OMP knowledge, SAP knowledge and hands-on experience

Salary range: € 34895.67 - 44500

The salary range is based on gender-neutral criteria: applicable CCNL requirements, responsibilities, working conditions and market benchmarks for the role and location. Final compensation will be determined based on gender-neutral criteria: experience, skills, and internal equity.
