ABOUT THE ROLE

Job Purpose

Joining Bridgestone SSC Poznań as a Transport Operations Support Officer is a unique opportunity to further develop your career in key logistic area - Transport Operations. Depending on your skills and interests, you can apply to the team that best matches your experience and aspirations.

You will play a specialist role acting as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all transport‑related operational matters for local transport teams, internal stakeholders, external partners, and Procurement or other supporting functions  ensuring the smooth execution of  processes, supporting business operations, and driving continuous improvement in a dynamic, international environment. You will work with modern tools, collaborate with experts from various fields, and have a real impact on the efficiency and quality of our logistics operations.

As a Transport Operations Support Officer, you will:

  • acts as an operational bridge between internal teams, carriers, and administrative support groups to maintain service continuity and documentation accuracy,
  • ensures smooth daily transport operations by coordinating shipments,
  • supporting compliance checks, and
  • managing rate tables

 

Responsibilities:

 Transport Operations & Coordination

  • Support daily transport execution by coordinating shipments, handling exceptions, and resolving transport‑related issues.
  • Ensure adherence to loading, unloading, and safety procedures.
  • Communicate with Traffic Teams, carriers, warehouse teams, and other stakeholders to maintain uninterrupted operational flow.

 

Rate Table & Compliance Management

  • Maintain and update transportation rate tables in cooperation with Procurement and Transport teams.
  • Perform compliance checks to ensure correct application of rates, surcharges, and service agreements.
  • Identify inconsistencies and escalate them to the appropriate teams for correction.

 

Quality & Documentation

  • Support operational documentation processes, including CMRs, proof of delivery, damage reports, and discrepancy logs.
  • Support VAT recovery processes through accurate and timely document management.
  • Assist with administrative steps related to bad debt cases where transport documentation is required.

 

Team Interface & Process Support

  • Act as the link between Transport Operations, Admin Teams, CMR/VAT units, and extended support functions.
  • Support process improvements and the standardization of transport documentation workflows.
  • Provide operational data inputs for reporting teams when needed.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for 4PL teams regarding master data requirements (carrier, material, network, freight tables).
  • Ensure timely updates of rate tables, freight agreements, and logistics‑related master data

 

Qualifications & Experience Required

  • Education: Degree in Logistics, Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience:
    • 1–3 years of experience in transport operations, logistics coordination, or similar administrative functions.
    • Basic understanding of transport documentation (CMR), VAT processes, and rate structures.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in MS Office.
    • Experience with TMS or SAP is an advantage.
  • Languages: Polish and English (spoken and written); an additional European language is an asset.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
    • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
    • Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
    • Good communication skills with operational teams and carriers.
