ABOUT THE ROLE

Job Purpose

We are looking for a Retail Senior Accountant reporting directly to the Retail Team Leader. This is a Local role based in Poznań. As a finance professional, you will be responsible for accurate, efficient, and timely processing of general ledger and AR activities. You will also participate in projects and take initiative to improve processes, communication, and the overall work environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • General Ledger operations: journal entries, accrual calculation, balance sheet reconciliations, intracompany reconciliations
  • Carrying out month-end, year-end closing tasks
  • Various reports’ preparation and analysis, reporting of the financial results for consolidation purposes
  • Identify and implement potential process improvements
  • KPI analysis, root cause identification and improvement suggestions
  • Ensures daily operations are carried out according to Group finance policies and internal control requirements
  • Daily bank statements posting and reconciliation
  • AR tasks such as customer invoicing, posting standard accounting transactions, GL transitory account reconciliation, regular communication with point of sales across France and local team in France
  • Maintenance and clarification of customer accounts and outstanding items
  • Support to any local related queries within responsibility area
  • Assisting with team/departmental projects
  • Other ad-hoc accounting/finance tasks

 

Qualifications & Experience Required

Education, Master, other certification

  • University degree in Finance or Accounting

Experience:

  • Minimum 36 months of experience in accounting (RTR, PTP, or AR)
  • Good knowledge of external legal requirements such as accounting and fiscal rules

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Experience with SAP or accounting systems (if applicable to the role context — here not explicitly required)

Languages Skills

  • Fluent English at C1 level
