ABOUT THE ROLE

Job Purpose

 

As a Costing Analyst within our SSC Financial Operations team, you will take ownership of standard and actual costing processes, working closely with Finance and key business stakeholders. This role requires a high level of independence, critical thinking and proactive problem-solving to ensure accuracy, efficiency and continuous improvement of costing activities.

You will act as a key contact for costing topics, driving analysis, identifying improvement opportunities and providing insights that support business decisions. Your experience will allow you to challenge existing processes and enhance overall process quality and reliability.

 


 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead and control the actual costing process, including analysis, validation and issue resolution
  • Manage and optimize price variances processing for production orders, ensuring accurate settlements and clear root-cause analysis
  • Maintain and improve material master data, pricing and controlling structures, ensuring strong data governance
  • Work with Standard Cost methodology, including SAP costing runs and process improvements
  • Coordinate and drive month-end closing activities related to costing, including SAP MM period management and stock postings
  • Perform in-depth cost analysis and provide actionable insights, highlighting risks and opportunities
  • Proactively engage with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve complex issues and improve processes
  • Ensure high data quality, compliance, and SLA adherence, while identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency
  • Support and act as backup for Transfer Pricing processes
  • Provide expert advisory on costing processes, financial impact and system flows (S/4HANA)

 

Requirements:    

 

Qualified candidates for this important position will therefore need to demonstrate the following:

 

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent field of study
  • +7 years of relevant finance experience in Finance, Actual Costing and/or Manufacturing area
  • Fluent (C1, C2) English is a must (written and spoken)
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in working in SAP (AP, AR, FI modules)
  • Proficiency in working in SAP MM module (Inventory)
  • Ability to communicate clearly thoughts, ideas and solutions
  • Ability to produce high-quality presentations summarizing key findings, conclusions and recommendations, good presentation skills, including the ability to communicate complex issues
  • High level of customer service and very good communication skills
  • Experience in participating in and leading various projects
